I don't know....

They're doing a lot of impersonating.

Mybe you could change your plan a little to impersonate a private detective or something in a non-threatening way.

But I'm wary of any guests now that we are sure PMs read these forums....

Yes, I agree with the point as well. But coming from a guest with no history of posts, and a strong opinion about preserving the game for everybody? Hmmmm....

It was a reasonable response, be it PM or not.
Whether it was PM will never be known, but we can speculate on it all day to no end.

I'd agree with the post's advice, regardless of its source.

OK, prehaps we shouldn't go so far as to impersonate someone like a police officer, but we're definitely not getting anywhere with the things we're saying to them now. We seem to be floundering a bit with TT, and we can't allow that to happen. Some really smart guy once said if you want good results you must take drastic action, and if we're going to get these answers then we need to pressure the hell out of these people. As I stated in another thread the VM boxes seem to be full... We need to make these receptionists hate us because we're not getting any answers. Drown them with e-mail and v-mail until someone gets a responce.

Oh... and a question... are there long distance charges when we call this place? ^_^;;;;

What response are you trying to get?

What do you want to know?

So far in this game I have emailed many people, and I haven't even gotten an automated responce from any of them. But as for calling this company (Who seems to be open to all hours of the night, on labour day no less) we should still to the same company name, and plead a heavy case. Calling at least a few times a day just to show that we mean business and that we're really looking for answers.

Things we need answered are:
1. The name of the old Webmaster and any contact information of his. (If they're curious as to why you're asking, say something like your company was interested in accquiring his services because of the excellent job he did on the TT webpage. Kissing Corprate ass always works)
2. Whether or not they plan on updating the public on their upcomming television shows (via eletronic newsletter for example).
3. If Richard Meyer still works at the company and if not, ask if he has left any contact info. If they tell you that he doesn't, and then ask to why you're curious, just act sympathetic and say that it was recommended you talk to him through one of your business partners. ...If they start asking questions, divert them.

Feel free to call and ask one, two or all three of these questions. If you get anywhere, please post.

hi blush

i can hear your frustration and i admire your energy and dedication to the game but perhaps it's worth remembering that most ARGs only give the illusion of being interactive without truly being so. what i mean is that getting heavy handed and trying to make anybody hate you may not actually achieve anything. especially not anything positive. the story may have a fairly set line which it is going to follow regardless and so, unless there's been some indication that the way to advance the story at this point in time is to hassle TT, i honestly wouldn't waste your however many cents each call costs.

it's great to keep speculation alive and well and to think laterally about how to play the game but when we have some clear leads like the as yet unsolved dreadhouse pics and documents it feels unwise to me to direct too much energy into the unknown at the expense of the known. if that makes any sense.

but hey, if someone thinks they have a new approach that hasn't already been tried with TT then maybe it should be pursued. but you said yourself, all the emails and phonecalls haven't gotten you anywhere so far.

I just wanted to agree with Aiesha here, I think that pushing them and pushing them on questions we've already asked them several times isn't going to help. I doubt that that sort of approach is the intended solve to any of our puzzles.

I just wanted to reiterate that point.

If there's a puzzle to be found somewhere and we're missing it, we'll likely be told by the PM (via ingame means of course Smile ).

Cluebat, anyone?

Your wish is their command, Varin. This is an excerpt from the email sent to Konamouse from the current webmaster at TT (and I really hope I'm not out of line reposting this snippet). The entire email can be seen at Interaction.

All the files that are passed around about the new shows are actually encrypted and you need a password to open them up. I haven't quite figured it out yet but they have this system set up where the password is actually in the e-mail or cover letter you receive with the files. Is that crazy or what?

So it's there, we just have to find it.

I think we all agree that the password is there but... Where to use it?

If the password is "confidential" they must have a real fool choosing their passwords Wink
