[PUZZLE] Spin the bottle?

Right after reading through the posts some people are specualting that Kowalski is lying to Arrelts about the Operators favourite game.

But from Greene herself we learn that the ship is on a secondary mission or unknown mission, that is very important.
Quote:
1st Lt Sorenson: The mission... This mission is more important than millions of lives? Oh my... /// god.

Capt. Greene: I'm just saying, the choice isn't as easy as you might think.

Now we know that different AI's functions can be represented as the rules of games

Quote:
ONI tech Kowalski: You know, from before. Tag - that's regular navy, like destroyers. Command HQ is usually Truth or Dare, something like that. Red Rover -

Midshipman Arrelts: Light /// picket?

ONI tech Kowalski: Couriers, too.

Now Kowalski mentions that our operators game would be spin the bottle.

Their are 2 possiblities of this:

1. Kowalski is trying to impress the lady and is making up the info as he goes along, yet Halo references would suggest he would definitely have access to this information. (It is more likely a suggestion for them to play)
2. The AI has a secondary function she doesn't know about, that she is currently waking upto (The Queen is shocked when Kowalski mentions this other game. Does this suggest that the queen understands what type of AI would work using the spin the bottle rules, and that it fears that if that is true then she is not what she thought she was.)

At any rate i think we should try and workout what would be the function of her is she worked using Spin the bottle rules

By the way spin the bottle is just the same as truth or dare, with a bottle right?

Re: [PUZZLE] Spin the bottle?

Spin The Bottle's a kissing game. You spin the bottle twice, the two people kiss. Interesting theories, but I'm sure he's making a joke, flirting at Melissa's expense.

Spin The Bottle

Spin The Bottle is a randomiser. You spin the bottle to select a random player.

For some reason this makes me flash on the fact that Cortana is supposed to have arrived at Halo 04 via a random jump.

d.

However, there IS something to note that her favorite game isn't spin the bottle, but hide and seek.

That suggests to me that Melissa's definitely an AI specialized in covert ops.

That would go with the stuff noted before, with the whole intelligence and whatnot.

Well, it's pretty obvious that it'd be a spying AI, what with being on board a scout-ship for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI).

Hmm. A moment of spec.

If the cover for the ship was a pleasure yacht... did the AI have a cover identity in case anyone interrogated it?

That may have something to do with the Sleeping Princess. Who knows?

Just to further cement it, I guess- It's certainly a spy AI. It seems to me that the rules it's designed to go on are "Survive Evade Resist Escape"- they always seem to keep coming back up, from formatting to what it seems to keep repeating to itself, and etc.

Definitely seems to be a mantra for an operative working 'behind enemy lines.' Survive and evade obviously, resist perhaps if somehow interrogated, and of course come out clean. This gives us a good look into the mentality.

Gang, this is probably not appropriate to the Puzzle threads but rather the General threads, where questions, info and spec are shared. I won't lock it, but keep threads here to specific puzzles/tasks that need work.

Oh so that is what that stands for.. I was thinking ONI (from Japanese) meaning Demon.
