Might I direct everybody to glance at the Hoaxbusters thread?

yer probably but why does ilovebees point to it?

It doesn't. It points to ilovebees, but ilovebees does not reciprocate the link. For example, a lot of people online write their own Star Trek stories that make use of existing, established characters and themes. Just because an amateur work borrows characters or makes references to official stories does not mean it is officially sanctioned or sponsored by Paramant or Gene Roddenbery. The same thing applies here. I could start a fake blog for Aunt Margaret and put entries in it that tie back to ilovebees and Dana's blog, but that does not make it officially part of the ARG.

The Damage
In a flurry of wishful thinking, I imagine a huge demographic overlap between bee fans and webmonkeys.

This blog is born.

You're reading this, so I'll assume you've already witnessed the damage over on my aunt's web site. That's how you got here, right? (Unless your last Google search included the terms "honey," "SOS" and "WTF".) Hmm... now I'm actually curious to see what that turns up.)

SO.... This guy puts the terms "honey," "SOS" and "WTF" in headlines on his web page so that he becomes "what that turns up." He just wants more page hits.
EDIT:
And it looks like that's what he got.
(Screenshot taken from his tracker page: http://extremetracking.com/open;sum?tag=xah )

Notice that the blog included a link: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&q=honey+SOS+WTF&btnG=Search
this links to a google search that brings up Xydexx. HOWEVER, I also noted that he probably just changed his page after the link was put on the ilovebees blog. So it is a "hoax" (if you want to call it that), but ilovebees DOES point to it.

Okay: as discussed extensively in this thread, as well as on the Wiki, Xydexx.com is not in-game. Say it with me now: 'It's a hoax, folks!'

And now that we've gotten that straightened out, all this thread needs is a...

Lame-o reference

The phrase hiding in the background, "but it did happen", appears to be a lame reference to a equally lame scene in Paul Thomas Anderson's "Magnolia". Specifically the deus ex machina "I can't figure out how to end my repetitive movie, so I'll make frogs fall from the sky for no apperent reason, and before you think to question it, I'll zoom in on this enigmatic phrase to cover up the fact that I can't write to save my life, and pray that my sheep-like minions of fan boys (and girls) will confuse it with 'indie genius', instead of talentless hack" scene.
