Hello everyone!

I just joined the PXC crowd last week... got some packs on the way, itching to get them solved and am reading up on the story so far...

I'm in Vermont (US) right now and I'll be in Colorado in the summer... however I have little hope of finding anyone near me into PXC. Alas that is what the internet is for!

Just saying hi, hope you're all having a good day.

hooked

I've only just started on pxc and still trying to work out everything that's happened so far - I'm so hooked tho!!! Got a huge stack of duplicates already if anyone lives nearby and fancies trading over a drink Smile

Lol thanks Duckiemonster.

Do you know how I load up an image to go under my name on this forum?? (In case anyone doesn't know what batgirl looks like of course!)

It's easy - you need to go and edit your profile, and use the avatar control panel at the end of the page. Make sure your avatar isn't too big - it was politely mentioned to me that my old one was bigger than allowed!

It only gives the option of linking to a url though... The pic I want to use is stored on my computer - can we not use stored images....?

Don't think so. A quick search will find various free image/avatar hosting sites that you can upload it to and then link to that.

Wanted to drop by and say hi--I've been a lurker for a few weeks as I've been buying up packs like mad and stretching little sections of my brain like never before--I wish I could get some of that Ceretin (or maybe not, as I'm learning too...)

Anyway, my only regret is that I'm discovering cards six months or more after you guys have already stopped talking about them & collaborating on solutions...maybe I can get in on some discussions about wave 3 cards while I can still be a part of that fun.

Just realised that with getting so caught up in the story of late, I'd neglected to introduce myself.

I'm Lindsay, which in my case is a boy's name (shush there!), I live and work in London and have been playing PXC for a few months, initially concentrating on the cards, then slowly being drawn into the ongoing narrative.

Nice community you've got here - and thanks for tolerating Yet Another N00b and not smacking me with the business end of a trout.

(yet)

On a related point duckiemonster, where did you guys get the personalised avatars from, was it one of the live events? They are really cool as it's so nice to almost see who's talking!

By submitting articles for inclusion in the Sentinel - details are here.

N.B. By the way, only slightly related, but Anton Bogaty (you've all seen the "ACB3" signatures tucked away on some of your cards, right?) is now selling a collection of his work in that quaint, old-fashioned book format here - his is the one with the large robot carrying the woman on the front - blurb says:-

Quote:
Girls, Monsters, Creatures and more Girls! Anton Bogaty can do wonders with pencil, pen and markers that's for sure! This full color sketchbook will amaze and delight you! If you like the art of Jack Davis mixed with a bit of Harvey Kurtzman, shaken up for good measure, you'll love this sketchbook!

Note: This item is also listed as being around the "PG-13" mark, as it contains some fine art images of "women wearing little or no clothing". So, if you didn't have a reason to buy it before, you do now Laughing

mcboyt - welcome indeed. I was, like you, a noob a few months ago but if you keep checking these boards and do some background research (the wiki is excellent) you'll be up and running in no time. I know what you mean about the cards and feeling slightly out of it (I joined when waves 1&2 were pretty much done and dusted), but there are currently still 5 unsolved (though 3 of them seem pretty impenetrable to me). Whilst solving the reds and greens etc, have a go at Earth's Destiny and Mother Tongue (you don't need the cards, just look at the threads) and make your name! Wave 4 still to come too so it'll all be on an equal footing then!

Tintintin - likewise, and I've seen you've made some great posts on the forum already so keep up the good work and thanks for the intro!

I see, thanks juxta. Is submitting enough, or do they have to be published?

They do need to be published, at which point they'll use the photo that you supplied to..."Perplexinate" you, and your brand new shiny avatar gets put in the Sentinel next to your article.
