Hi guys,

This is just to break my posting cherry and say 'hi'. I was sucked into PXC (against my better judgement!) about a month ago, after seeing the cards on Firebox. It was immediately intriguing, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to dedicate my life towards it....... didn't take long for me to break! It's taken me up until now to catch up with the story and solve some puzzles so I don't say anything too stupid! I did join you & Kurt in the mines, and although I wasn't a lot of use it gave me a feel for the game, and for the mentality of the cube hunters.

I'd never heard of ARG's before, but have always enjoyed logic problems etc. and as you have solved virtually everything else I'm looking forward to Wave 4 so I may actually be able to contribute something useful. However I've always thought that if you have nothing to say, don't say anything (unless I've been drinking of course!), so I'll go back to lurking quietly in the corner until I have something intelligent to contribute (or until I start drinking again... ha ha!)

Keep up the good work chaps & chapesses

Cheers
Mico

Well, just thought i would make myself known

Hey people, first post here! A little about me: I started playing pxc all that time back when it first appeared in the firebox catalogue (over a year back) and got interested. Just as the first wave of cards was released, i realised i wasn't gonna be able to get them and my interest in the game faded, just recently i saw unfiction in my favoroutes, thought i would go check out pxc again to remenisce and found a store near me stocked cards, i went and bought some and now am totally back into it! Although alot of the story line is patchy to me i am doing my best to catch up

Girl, 15+, Singapore. Student, hit unforums while looking for info on ReGenesis, ended up playing (or lurking around stealthily) PXC on and off for the better part of a year.

It should be noted that home country does not bring in PXC cards and shipping costs are expensive due to location. As a result, girl has resorted to begging anyone within the UK to bring back cards for her.

Girl is now effectively broke and squealing over cards that cost S$1.50 each. (very expensive, from friends and parents point of view.)

Girl is often considered partially insane by parents and friends.

Girl doesn't really care, come to think of it.

Mother of two from Australia here. I hold no realistic hope of actually solving this, but it's fun regardless. Stumbled across the cards in an online gadgetry store while starting my xmas shopping a few days ago, and I must say, I wish I had a key (or at least a laptop with wireless broadband) so I could read all the goings on in bed....somehow books just aren't exciting enough for me anymore lol.

Trying my best to catch up on the puzzles, though the five blogs I've read back from post one seem to have me up to date with the storyline now.

Just being friendly and saying hello Coffee

My turn I guess... Embarassed

I've been lurking awhile too, and entering cards for a few months. I'm still having to buy cards on eBay 'cause there aren't many places in Canada to get them; though I haven't asked at Walmart or Best Buy yet.

I've been following the Backdoor thread, and keeping tabs on the 13th Labour project.

Looking forward to wave 4!

Hi, Sardo here.

I'm an expat Aussie now living in London. Kicked around with Perplexcity cards in Australia, but now i've moved to London hoping to get into it big time Cool How good is it having the launch of the Wave 4 cards a short walk from work!

The only problem I now have, is i've got exactly 1337 points, and I'm hesitant to put in any more solves Twisted Evil

Hope to catch you all around the forum, and maybe at some live events etc.

Sardo.

lol, no I have a british passport.

I saw the discussion on where to meet up for drinks (or which net cafe to put in our first solves at), I'll be there.

Does anyone know at what time the cards go on sale? Can we get them in our lunchbreak, then come back for the launch? Otherwise the yanks get a 1.5 hour head start on us... And I know how important first solves are to all of us.

Y'see, I liked you up to that point... Razz

Looking forwards to meeting you in London, don't get too upset if some sneeky person solves all the cards before the rest of us get home Wink

About how many players live in London (or come to London for events)? Does anyone hold regular trades/meetings?

Also, can anyone recommend the best (funnest) way of getting more involved in the non-card aspects of the game?

1) lots! erm, see the thread about the wave 4 launch party for most of the results or...

2) come into #syzygy and ask! the community/random spec/mystery/puzzle solving/live event aspects are pretty much well covered in there, as well as on these fine boards themselves, would be nice to see you in there and welcome to perplexcity :) oh and if you havent found them, the Story So Far and the wiki should help get you up to speed with all the non-card story aspects :)

rach =)
