Last OT response, I promise.

Didn't work until I let port 6667 through our firewall - try using something like VisualIRC (it's free!). If that works, it's possibly something to do with Java on your PC

Well, for whatever reason this morning the www.chat-solutions.com web page was serving more than just server errors, so I tried to get the chat to work again. It turns out that I was being port-blocked. Thanks to everyone who let me know that the problem was somewhere other than the chat server.

Yes, also very similar to the P in the title of the game "Trivial Pursuit" Wink

Hey all, I'm Halrandir.

I played ILoveBees. It was my first ARG and it hooked me very quickly. When it started getting to the end I began to look for an ARG to do after ILB. Obviously I found this one. I didn't end up doing much in ILB, mostly because it was my first ARG and I'm kinda shy. I really hope I can do more with this one though.

I've read up on what has happened so far, and I'm ready to go.

Ok, I'm new to online ARGs, but years back I thought I invented the style of game when I led some friends on an adventure for about a month; it was great fun since they don't know it was a game until the end. Wink anyways, I'm really exited about watching the story unfold, and perhaps I'll even be able to brain storm with you guys along the way.

A New Addition, Trying to Make New Additions.

Hi, I'm Jay and I've just recently found out about ARGs (really not more than three days ago) though I love the idea so much. I'd love to take part and, after starting last night, I've caught up in terms of the forum, the wiki, as well as all the secrets found so far. I hope there's room for a newcomer.

Anyway, I had something of note (or not) to share (I'm pretty sure it's no trout):
I was look at the "security clearance" messages, such as http://www.perplexcity.com/tmp/httpd/errorlog/6290435729.cache and compared it to the email concerning Sente and the Sandbox Mail Transport Daemon (http://www.perplexcity.com/tmp/httpd/errorlog/0595630738.cache), and noticed the recurrence of the number "24"; it shows up as both "milsetone 24 (Project Syzygy)" as well as "GATEHOUSE 24"

Could this be of any import?

Also, I noticed that there was some speculation on the "// badge query { ling, l {640ea} }", where "640ea" has been though to be the badge number, though I noticed an instance of a similar thing in the email correspondence between Sente and the Sandbox Mail Transport Daemon. Specifically, it says: "there has been a failure in Sandbox
Mail Transport Daemon (daemon subprocess 3ea5)."

Could there be a relationship there?

I don't know if these are insignificant, but I just wanted to relate some findings. I really hope to make some contributions along with you guys.

Thanks,
Jay

yeah, there has been some similar speculation going on.

the general consenus is that right now, it might mean something or it might not, we just don't have enough clues to make anything with it - and any speculation in that direction is so hypothetical that it doesn't lead us anywhere right now...

Yeah, not enough info to go on quite yet. Definitely a good catch, though. Those are the sort of thing you'll want to keep an eye out for. Welcome to the ARG, and keep up the good work. Smile

yeah we noticed the 24s and the codes ea and ae

we thought the ea and ae might be security levels -- maybe something like a level of someone allowed to escort others through the gate and a level of someone who needed to be escorted

but we never really came to a conclusion -- so keep looking and good luck Very Happy

AF here. Seems someone changed all my passwords to EVERYTHING... my main account on my computer, trillian, hotmail, not gmail, fortunantly, and all that fun stuff. So, now I'm stuck trying to hack my account passwords, and until that time, I'll be using the screename AF, and then Asute_falcon. Avid player of Ilovebees, and looking forwards to another good ARG here. Maybe /. wlll pick up on this one, and intro the people into ARGs that ARN'T an advertisement, but are still good games.

Good morning! I've looked over the information on Project Syzygy, and i'm interested in seeing where it goes. I was more or less (mostly less) involved during Project MU on various other sites, as well as lurking around these parts. The ARG environment is so appealing, and does nothing if not educate. I'm looking forward to the headaches, the arguments with my new wife (as of November 14) about how i'm spending too much time looking at things that don't matter, and a bevy of other problems that don't really apply to real life (yet). Game on!
