Hi,

I never even knew Season 1 existed until I read the article on the BBC website, but I've read through the archives and loved the story (am I the only one who thinks that Scarlett is a fox?) and am definitely going to get involved in Season 2 (at least as much as work permits...).

Have had a quick look at some of the puzzles from Season 1 and, damn, they look hard. I can manage the Times crossword at a stretch, but "Vigenere Code"? Looks like I'm going to spend a lot of time looking for assistance on this forum...

Cas.

If by that you mean that Scarlett is a canine animal, then yes you are. If you mean it in the "damn she Foxy" sense, then heck no!

Assistance, that's what we're here for. The great thing about the hive mind is exactly that if you don't know something you can ask and be almost certain that someone else does, or at least knows someone else who does, or perhaps knows someone who knows someone who... Anywho. Vigenere Cipher. See, it works!

Ah, that site brings back memories. There was this cipher challenge (which is coincidentally sponsored by my uni college) that I did back at school with whoever else was bored at lunch that day. Every cipher was in that book/website and near enough in the correct order as well so it was my favourite site for months. Incidentally, during the first or perhaps second challenge I learnt to read (not translate or anything, actually read) ROT 13. Useful skill that.

I'm rambling again which usually means I'm avoiding doing something useful. So I'll go and do whatever it is. But hello to loads of people!

Hello all, another lurker outed in time for Season 2. I did solve a few season 1 cards, but for one reason or another didn't really get involved in the story. Really looking forward to being a bit more active for season 2 Very Happy

Hello all!

Got heavily involded in Season 1, finished in the top 500 (just - Season 1 Points: 10603 | Season 1 Rank: 496), but basically gave up last autumn as I couldn't get hold of the cards I was missing, and never joined the forum back then.

Kicking myself now since the endgame looks to have been very straightforward, have learn my lesson and will be keeping up with the news this time around. I'm also having a go at Secrets of the Alchemist Dar if anyone else has seen it - another treasure-hunt-type thing.

Here's yet another Season 1 lurker - I came in too late to really stand a chance catching up with the story, but I loved the cards.

Claim to fame - first solve on "Dream Ticket" (by about 6 seconds).

I have a feeling that I will be a little more involved this time round, and I am really looking forward to the ride.

Alan.

I don't think I've actually introduced myself. Hello, Edward Nigma aka Mark. I played in Season 1 & at last look I think I was in 87th=. Looking forward to Season 2.

A Lurker no more

Hi all,

Probably should have posted on here earlier but better late than never. I'm Mark, but call me Hev, and I played a bit towards the back end of Season 1. I'm really keen to get involved in Season 2 and I've been an admirer of all the help and shared enthusiasm that seems a big part of this forum. Looking forward to sharing Season 2 with you all.

All the best,

Hev

Hello everyone, and apologies for not signing in sooner.

I got involved in Season 1 after being given a pack of cards back in September. Like a lot of the new faces, I felt I'd come in a bit too late to get involved in the ARG proper, so I've been lurking till the start of Season 2.

Having said that, I did make it along to the end-of-season party, and thought it was a great bunch there. (If anyone remembers me, I was the bloke wondering if I should wear the Green Leitmark I'd just received that morning.)

Still not sure how deep I'll get into the ARG this year (little things like work may get in the way), but I'm hoping to be more involved in the card solving.

Am definitely looking forward to seeing Season 2 unfold! Very Happy
