Yes, I've searched and one person makes mention of this possibility http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=78.

This definitely makes the most sense.

If Linda was whisked away for some covert op (after she finished healing), this makes total sense. It ends up being a good tie-in for what happened to the few remaining SPARTAN's. I don't know if this helps advance the game, but I think it helps shed some light onto a little-understood charcter. Now, perhaps the poius flea is some leftover code of the covenant AI?. . . . .... have to think on that; assuming that also dictates that the operator = cortana (the copy left on the blown starbase, 'cause the real one was back safely on that other ship who's name escapes me at the momment).

 		Linda is taken nowhere, she was injurd badly in fall of reach and healed by Dr Hasely in First Strike.

However Kelly is taken by the Dr in first strike, heading to a star system listen on Ackersons private research files.
