This appears in the source code of the 404 page with the killer.jpg...

I believe that's to keep search engines from indexing it and any pages that it links to. (right?) I don't know how it's usually done, but that seems reasonable for a 404 page.

I'm too new here to trout you, but, yes, it's normal. It just tells search spiders like Google that there's nothing to see here, move along.
