my [spec] is that they copy and pasted every line from the emails we sent them...so the bold was left on. then all they did was change the font face and color, but forgot to mess with the bold. thats all we are seeing right? just bold face?

I'm a n00b, but I have a couple of comments

1. re font sizes etc: If you look at the source (I think someone posted it earlier in this thread, I'm not gonna waste space doing it again) you'll see an amazing array of different styles. It appears to have been composed in Word/Outlook. (class=MsoNormal is the giveaway), but there are lots of different font tags in there - some use of <strong>, some of <font>, and some of <span>, within that are references to various fonts/sizes - most of it is just dodgy code out of Word, but it's strange that some things are specifically set. Of course, it may also be completely irrelevant and it just depends on what font ppl sent (quoted) emails in..

2. My actual reason for posting: why are we so certainly dismissing the possibility of this being written by the Flea? My first reaction on seeing the email was the Flea - the green text, the (?) symbol and the love, sign off had all been previously agreed on as trademarks of the flea... Someone back on page 4 of this thread suggested that the Flea was communicating on behalf of the Princess, which I think makes more sense. Maybe it doesn't matter a lot, but two things:

i. just because it's 'by the sleeping princess' doesn't mean its literally by her, as other ppl have pointed out

slightly o/t but something i noticed...
on the error 404 page, they mispelled URL twice the same way...instead of Universal Resource Link, or URL, its URI this is probably absolutely nothing, but its hard to see, because theres a period after the I that makes it look like an L...
just adding it in...

never mind, the URI stands for universal resource identifier, a less common term for URL evidently... never heard of it before though.

I just got a dumb (read: doesn't really help us, but interesting) idea:

I, like all of you, think that the missing chapter three has to somehow reference the missing recipe three. BUT, what if those adventures and narrow escape that can't be detailed here, are actually what's going on now? (or did about a week ago?) You see, Dana was alone, (so was the S.P. and all) and then they meet. (Now, this doesn't mean that SPDR or stuff was necessarily involved yet, or it could be, but follow me here...)

And then, Chapter Three, the chapter we're currently in, happens.

The AI Queen is attempting to hurt Dana, (and the S.P.) and we are all trying to help her... (sounds like an adventure to me), and then just when the AI is becoming stronger, and getting a good feel for its surroundings, and can manipulate the computer/webcam ("This is my MEAT"), when things are dangerous, Dana leaves to China (narrow escape).

So maybe it's telling us how things will be, or how things should be? This kind of lends some more credence then, to the "We need Dana to talk to it, so it will reveal its secret" theory, since that would essentially be the next chronological step... Whaddy'all think?

(*Edit - this is really tenuous, and there's also that line that the Sleeping Princess was who passed through all this (but maybe it's saying it's survived all this, or that it's seen Dana go through this...) I know... it's a highwire of a theory. )

"home" could also be referring to the ILB home page, which lends credence to the image on that page being stegged. Personally though, I don't really think that the image is stegged.

I definitely agree with those who posit that the sleeping princess is not necissarily a good entity. What have we got to assure of this? Only that its asking for our help. We should try and manipulate the princess into revealing her secret.


Also, I doubt the pious flea is th author, more likely it is the sleeping princess.

However, I thought of an idea. . . Perhaps it's the queen? Sending us the "princess' "" messages. . . Just an outlandish idea, not really serious.
