 		Princess = Unrustworthy?; Dana = Trustworthy?
Hey, before I start this, I just want to say I'm a newb to ARGing. I'm also unexperienced with this type of foruming. I tried to read as much as possible before posting, but I'm sure I'll miss something. I apologize in advance for anything I may do.

With that messy business behind us, I do want to respond to this.

But, on the other hand, it was Dana who hurt it. While I don't think Dana meant to, and that she is mostly innocent in this affair, I do think she should try to help this entity in her aunt's website.

And, just to be paranoid, how do we know Dana is what we think she is? Sure, she's the human being, but should we let our similarities make us sympathetic where we should be cautious.

Also, I think the Sleeping Princess [META: and the PMs through her] may be subtly censuring us for our emotional sympathy with Dana through this remark

"the favorite of the plebeian masses"

It is Dana who is the favorite. And, I would assume that we are the plebian masses. But I welcome other interpretations.

 		I think you need to consider the format of Dana's previous communication, mostly via the blog. If the SP can be made to believe that Dana has returned then it may offer up the 'secret' that it has.

 		What about leaving her a message on voicemail?

As for showing it a way onto the internet, I sent the IP protocol, and there was no mention of it, no request for more info, and no mention of escape in the email, so I don't think that's the direction we're supose to be going in. Bah, what do I know... I'm a newbie at this.

 		Hi. Been lurking around for awhile, first post.

As far as directing it out into the internet, I think that's probably a bad idea at this point. The AI is under repair, correct? Some really intense repair that's intrusive and obviously unpleasant for it. The damage it sustained must be pretty bad. I'm not so sure it's a good idea to show a half-broken, semi-coherent AI the way to our world's network. I think we should wait and see what sort of progress it makes on its own. Maybe once it becomes more stable it'll have better luck. I'd imagine something so advanced would be able to figure out the protocols without any help - after all, it figured out how to use Dana's webcam from the ilovebees server.

 		On the other hand, whats it going to do? Access web-cams world wide? It really can't do much, and maby if were nice to it we can get it to change its mind about this whole, I'm going to kill Dana thing.

 		We know the ladybee777 entity can send e-mails to e-mail addresses she has received mail from... why wouldn't we send her a message with Dana's e-mail address? Or an e-mail forged to look like it came from danatwingSPLATgmail.com (if the entity can only reply to messages it has received)?

I don't disagree with you, but I doubt that we have much of a choice. The medium will metastasize in, what, five days now? I believe that, come next Tuesday, the Operator will have figured out how to spread into the world's internet on its own, all of our concerns will be moot, and we'll see more comments from her and SPDR -- and hopefully our Sleeping Princess! -- on a lot more web sites.

(Unless, of course, we decide that we want to prevent this, and figure out how to do it...)

 		Fair enough, I agree with you completely. I'm just arguing against assisting or encouraging the transition to the internet. If we can stop it from doing so, that's probably a good idea, but failing that I think it'd be best to let it proceed along its own course without help from us.

 		On the subject of getting a hold of dana, does anyone think that maybe her parents would be able to contact her? I know when my family leaves the country, they normally leave me some numbers just in case. Furthermore, since she specifically mentioned her mother in the telephone recording (first mention) maybe that is a clue that we should be seeking her out. Just a thought
