the image used is page 3 of the drawings document
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the missing text seems to be:
satenv817he2of
This *can* be anagramed to: A seventh of 7812 (which yields 1116)
Still have no idea about the numbers on top though...
On a unrelated matter, are the bolding and italics for numbers 4 8 and 13 new in the friend list?

Nope they're not new. They indicate the date today

I actually haven't looked at the "missing text", but since you are anagramming the numbers, I'd like to point out that of the 24 combinations of 7, 8, 1, 2, there are 4 that are multiples of 7.
7812 / 7 = 1116
7182 / 7 = 1026
8127 / 7 = 1161
1827 / 7 = 261
so if it is a straight anagram, than any of those 4 qualify.

Top numbers on the patent picture I can make those numbers equal 6 but not within their groups: ie
2 4 6 8 10 12 = 6
(4x8) - 12 - 10 - 6 + 2 = 6
prolly means nothing really. [/b]

If the underlined numbers are taken to be negative:
-2 + 4 + -6 + 8 + -10 + 12 = 6

WiseOddSage updated his blog today.
Plus, his last comment on the previous blog entry is probably in reference to the direction the "name picking" had taken.
BTW, i'm dropping out of this race.

This is a No Go :-( This is a No Go
OK, well that was a mess.
I will start out by saying that I had intended a different type of game than is typical on the unfiction forums. It was quickly apparent (within 15 minutes) that that intention was shot. So after a few attempts at scrambling to reinvent this game I call it quits. I could have continued for a while more but that would just have wasted more time better spent watching Halo trailers over and over again
I sincerely appreciate your time and effort and it would be great if you have any comments about the game in case I ever find the outlet to resurrect this. I will leave the current puzzle up for a time for those who would like to keep at it. I will give the solution via email if you want it and I may post some of the other puzzles in the "timewasters" forum (ironic I think) or on the blog.
I am sorry, friends, ConfusedOddSage (and no that is not an email or a blog) out.

I'm sorry that it didn't work out as you intended Sage. I hope your future endevors work out much better for you. I would have gotten into it more myself, but ILB and SubCity are taking up all my time right now.
Best of luck!
