Well, I'm AnthraX101 and played Majestic for a bit, but didn't get to know anyone else in the genre until CTW. I'm an all around computer nerd, but I get outside every once in a while Smile

I'm krystyn, and I played the Beast starting on the very night that the A.R.M. rallies were being held. I wish I had gone to the Chicago one, since I live in the city, but how was I to know what I was getting myself into?

I flew from playing right into puppetmastering - I worked on Lockjaw, and then Project MU (Matrix/Metacortechs).

Right now I am playing bees, but I think I might also catch up with Urban Hunt.

I have a boring day job, but I do a lot of acting on the side.

/me jumps on the bandwagon as well.

I'm Rowan (or nawoR for those that see me in chat during the day). Although I remember reading about The Beast when it was starting, I never played it - I looked at the Bangalore U site, got confused and never went back. Fast forward to earlier this year and me being absolutely bored and finding The Beast Guide online and walking myself through all the cloudmaker sites. From there I found ARGN and UF - just in time to catch the pre-game of Aware. Now I'm just trying to absorb all the new ARGs that are coming out of the woodworks. Not that I'm complaining. Very Happy

am Tony, pretty much here for comic relief. Seriously, saw the remains of Beast and later Mu and then it looked like Syzygy was going online so got super excited and signed up. Still in a holding pattern like everyone else for S.

For my real life, I design and repair vintage arcade games (and yes, I do program and do hardware and circuit design). Am also writing muisc for an upcoming major horror movie and am prepping to move my entire farm from Socal to Missouri, following my job. It will help with my major dream of building a haunted house. Too hard to do in Socal, so its a case of watch this space in a couple of years. The fun part to move will be the two amusement park rides I have in my collection Smile....(a log flume and a teacup ride, FYI, not kiddie rides...)

Wow, it must be a little more difficult for you to ask your buddies to help you move.... I would think you would get alot of - Um, sorry Tony, I'm um, busy that day.

joebrent, give you three guesses what my real name is (answer below!). I sprang like a well from a dream of Vishnu, although it turns out Shiva was doing the old 'pouring water' prank at the time, which explains a lot. Brown hair and eyes, average height, weight, and build, distinguishing scar on my upper right forearm, and a tattoo on the left that reads: "steal this arm - A. Hoffman". 6 years with the R.A.F, 32 confirmed kills in WWI including the Red Baron's slightly less-talented nephew, the Mauve Jackadandy. 4 years as a contract player for MGM Studios, I was the 17th man to yell, "No, I am Spartacus!" Years later, while working as the Chief of Thorasic Surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, I successfully removed George W. Bush's extraneous nipple; while he was under, I helped myself to his spleen as well, and fashioned it into a charming coin-purse. You can purchase my paintings, sculpture, and videos of my one-man show Ribald Cheboygan Nights at http://www.pabulum.org.

Also the internet. I invented the internet.

Edit: turns out there actually is a pabulum.org. The composer of this post remains not responsible for any pabulum, effluvium, valium, gingham, hokum, Belgium, or gruesome flotsam and jetsam contained therein

How could I possibly follow that.....

It all started with majestic, 'muda tried to interest us in the Beast but (dumbly) I thought that majestic was going to be great and stuck with that. Lurked through most of the aforementioned games, there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to actually participate. Now I'm stuck in the Kingdom,LotGD and gameneverending, they're a bit easier to do on my own time.

I've been here (UF) since the beginning, I'm not sure how I got here or how to leave Confused

ok. well, i'm 27, australian and working in arts admin. but i'm meant to be writing. pretty much everytime you see me here, or anywhere else, i'll be meant to be writing. unfiction is now *the* major component of my procrastination routine.

i found my way here via william gibson. read 'pattern recognition', checked out his site, read a thread about cool sites which led to cloudmakers and the story of the beast, which led here. what i found here, despite the initial intimidation of being surrounded by so many extremely clever people, i guess, to be soppy, felt kind of like home. i love the whole concept of args, i love the community here, i love that playing args makes me smarter.

so that's me Very Happy

Well, ok. I'm a college student, studying something to do with molecular biology and computer science. I got caught up in the beginning of MU/Metacortechs, came in here with the flood of Matrix fans, and have been lounging around ever since. I love the stories of these things, with all the developing plotlines and characters and the like. They're sort of like aggresively interactive novels, and that's awesome. I'm following ilovebees now. Can't wait for that plot to come together.

Ok, well, I'm Larry, and I live in the NW suburbs of Chicago, IL. I've been interested in this sort of thing for a while. (Wanted to play Majestic, but only had dial-up, and lived with my parents at the time, and they probably would have died after hearing what some of the phone calls sounded like, lol!) I also caught the "Sentient Machine Therapist" in the AI credits, but never went deeper than thought about it... So, the Haunted Apiary is my first ARG, and I'm definitely hooked. I love the community aspects, and I'm also a puzzle enthusiast.

I'm a 26 year old mortgage banker, and I studied theatrical direction in college. (yeah, I can't figure that one out either...) I've got a wife, with a kid on the way, (late october,) and we just got our first home. So life's just startin for me, and then I get this ARG bug... dang... Wink

Ok, to join in on the fun... Smile

I'm Giskard, or Daniël if you like, 25, live in the Netherlands and I'm projectmanager for a retail company that mostly owns a few large chains of supermarkets over here and in the US. I came to unFiction for the first time in october last year, for the start of Project MU (The Metacortechs ARG). That was such a great experience, and the folks here at uF were so friendly and welcoming Wink that I kinda sticked around... which I'm not regretting Very Happy

At the moment, I'm trying to 'play' ilovebees, but moderating the boards for it take up way more time than actually spending time looking at it in-depth does... depending on if it expands beyond it's current state, I might get up to speed with Urban Hunt too.

I'm often sad that I missed the Beast, especially now that all the people from "old times" return to the forums and reminisce...

Damn...Looks like everyone stole my best jokes...Luckily, they weren't all that funny when you guys used them, either. Wink

Anyway...The Karmic Cimewave, currently working as the chief security manager and consultant for a Mid-Ohio nightclub ( yup...I'm the HEAD bouncer, by golly!) minor-leauge professional wrestler, and freelance writer/lyricist working on my first 2 novels and screenplay (unfortunately, I'm trying to do them all at the same time) I stink on ice when it comes to puzzles, but I can throw wild SPEC with the best of them. Not unlike Lance Lake, I'm here mostly for the storylines and social engineering. And the pie. I like hard liquor and long diatribes with no real relevance. My turn-offs are mimes and penguins...Or am I supposed to safe that stuff for when they staple my navel?

At any rate, I've been lurking around since more or less the mid-point of Lockjaw, and look forward to almost contributing to the forum.

And screw the internet...I invented pants!
