Hiiiiii, another newbie here. Just heard about ARG's in the past week, through a blog that I read regularly (http://www.crazydaysandnights.blogspot.com/) which is posted by an entertainment lawyer and isn't quite celebrity gossip, but still entertaining..anyway, someone posted a comment abotu the potential for it to be a trailhead for an ARG, then provided a description about what that meant, etc. I found it very interesting and like something i could get into, so here I am!

Name is Theresa, but everyone calls me Tree, 22, in Maryland, and am an eternal student (seriously, I will never graduate because I can't settle on a major), and work at the American Lung Association of MD... I work on some of their fundraising events and oversee their database system. (Exciting, I know).

That's all for now, hopefully I'll be able to become more active in this as I figure out what's going on!

Well, I figure, I'm already irreversibly engaged in one of the threads, so I may as well make myself known.

I'm Strikethrough, and I've been trolling ARGNet and Unforums for a few days now. After telling a friend about ARGs, I was told that the responsible thing for someone like me to do would be to avoid it, lest I get far too wrapped up in it, I promptly began absorbing as much as I could.

I'm currently a college student, working toward my doctorate in Philosophy. I take special interest in the philosophy of the mind, and I'm a big fan of Lateral Thinking puzzles.

You know, stuff like: A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender for a glass of water. The bartender suddenly whips out a pistol and points it at the man. The man says "Thank you," and leaves. What happened?

Let us all hope my ability to pull connections out of thin air are more beneficial than they are annoying. And I look forward to really getting my feet wet.

Yikes - Vanishing Point Game - you can catch up quickly via the wiki and there is a live event in Miami tomorrow. I wouldn't scramble if you're not local, but if you are near Miami Beach you can join the crowd.

(To catch up - wiki the pregame stuff and the videos; don't try to read the old threads on that; register and run through the set of puzzles from the first live event; read the threads on Loki's email trail/Meta puzzle that has been developed since Monday.)

Hello Unforums,

I've been lurking here for half a year or so, and I thought I'd finally introduce myself. I'm a student at a small liberal arts college with too much time on my hands and a penchant for puzzles.

I'm new to ARGs, but have played timewasters such as thisisnotporn and notpr0n.

I registered to play The Wyoming Incident, but as it's floundering at the moment, I'll wait for another game to jump into (preferably from the beginning) if it doesn't pick back up.
