[SPEC] Flood = Honey

What is the new race uses the flood as food. They could metaphorically be the honey. The flood moves on and changes things into their food. I know I am reaching but I think some reaching may help. Without ideas thought is just old knowledge.

So we meet again PhatRick....

This is interesting, but what is this other race that you are refering too? It could be possible, but to my knowledge there is no other race mentioned, and if there was, it would be kind of strange because it wouldn't really fit with the current story of this ARG. Please clarify what race you were talking about, and where you heard about it.

It is actually just a thought. Alot of speculations I have read talk about the possibility of another race being in the game. We had no idea about the flood being in the first halo until we got to them in the game.
I think I read about the possibility of a new race in a WWW.Ilovebees.com discussion somewhere, but I will admit, this has all caught me off gaurd. I have never played any of these games before. Sorry, if I am making newb mistakes.

In my memory, the flood has no known origin. Is it possible that the forerunners had an enemy that used the flood as food. I know this seems random. Any thoughts, or suggestions

We don't really have any major proof that there is another alien race that has to do with this ARG. Just going to have to wait and see I guess.

This is all kinds of true.
Sorry I put speculation and thought on a Topic to itself. The flood honey thing popped in my mind and I registered and posted then read the rules. My bad. Wont happen again.

Does anyone think that the website and bees and honey and stuff could be metaphorical?

The obvious metaphor on the website is the healing power of honey, which on certain reloads gets slapped in your face about a thousand times across the page. There is spec that this is why the AI chose the website, etc. The entire Widow story is metaphor to the SPDR code (see an xnbomb post that I can't remember). I don't know if anyone's brought up the fact that when a bee stings it dies, and after whatever happened in the castle/ship, the princess is now "asleep."

Doesnt one of the stories in the recipes page tell a story about how a bee dies after stinging? Question Screwy

Doesn't follow.
The Halo's were created to contain the Flood, to stop them spreading.

And either way the Flood are not involved in this ARG.

And Apiaries are created to contain bees, to stop them from spreading.
Which allows us humans to benefit from them.

Even though I disagree with Guest's comments, I'd just like to point out that your comment doesn't disprove his/her/its.

Using your own analogy the Flood would be the Bees.
He's saying the Flood would be the Honey.

So...then, change beehive (which I selected due to the game we're playing, as a joke) to cattle ranch.

"The Flood are Honey for The Forerunner"
The Forerunner contain the Flood on Halo.

"Cows are Food for Humans"
We contain cattle in Texas.

Logic is still logic, containment does not preclude the contained's usefulness to those responsible for the containment.
