Can anyone translate Latin? I see a few word here like quantity material, density and magnitude, but that's about it.

Is it possible that the "locations" you all think the list is could be are actually (ham) radio frequencies? just my two cents....

The Latin is Newton's:

Quote:
The quantity of motion is the measure of the same, arising from the velocity and the quantity of matter conjunctly.

The next sentence is Decartes':

Quote:
I think, therefore I am.

The French sentence is King Louis XIV of France:

Quote:
I am the State.

These seem to be quotes from several sources. The first quote sounds like a Bible reference...I'd have to do some research. I'm guessing that the Latin quote is from Newton's Principia. "Cogito ergo sum" is the Latin form of Descartes' famous "I think, therefore I am." "L'etat c'est moi" is French and means "I am the state" -- if memory serves, this was spoken by Louis XIV. The final quote is the most interesting -- I believe it is from Einstein's special theory of relativity.

EDIT - excessive quote tags - SG

Also, the sentence about Maxwell's electrodynamics is from the beginning of Einstein's "On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies". Here's the whole paragraph:

Quote:
It is known that Maxwell's electrodynamics—as usually understood at the present time—when applied to moving bodies, leads to asymmetries which do not appear to be inherent in the phenomena. Take, for example, the reciprocal electrodynamic action of a magnet and a conductor. The observable phenomenon here depends only on the relative motion of the conductor and the magnet, whereas the customary view draws a sharp distinction between the two cases in which either the one or the other of these bodies is in motion. For if the magnet is in motion and the conductor at rest, there arises in the neighbourhood of the magnet an electric field with a certain definite energy, producing a current at the places where parts of the conductor are situated. But if the magnet is stationary and the conductor in motion, no electric field arises in the neighbourhood of the magnet. In the conductor, however, we find an electromotive force, to which in itself there is no corresponding energy, but which gives rise—assuming equality of relative motion in the two cases discussed—to electric currents of the same path and intensity as those produced by the electric forces in the former case.

Who says her memory is eroding?? Smile

"Cogito ergo sum" is the famous line by Descartes "I think therefore I am" This implies self-awareness by something. "L'etat c'est moi" means "I am the state" (IIRC) which would seem to have a similar meaning.

The rest of the Latin is a little beyond me but seems to be saying something about the quantities being immeasurable and the density and and magniture combining. Pehaps something increasing until you reach the "cogito ergo sum" event?

Axons are the arms which connect brain cells to one another. Neuro-degenrative disorders (like Alzhiemer's) are caused when the protective sheathing of the axons is damaged. This reference might have something to do with the SPDR's repairs on The Operator. But I guess it';s still too early to even start with the SPEC.

Looks interesting,
TF

I would actually assume that these locations would be:

1. Bee / Honey Farms
2. Software Retail Stores
or
3. Randomly generated to confuse us.

Hail mary spec coming. This sounds like a timeline of what's happened to Melissa.

"...arising from the velocity..." = crash
"I think, therefore I am" = Melissa coming back online
"I am the State" = Melissa taking over the network

Location: Far Far Away. Nowhere Near You. Really.

Check the wiki for the most recent assemblage of snippets, and then come back here and spec about what it all means, gang! Let's jump start this away from the assembly process.
