We have libraries/schools

We have landmarks (Wrigley Field, the Mall in DC, Sears Tower)

But we also have oddities (Elmhurst, IL) I live less than 15 minutes away, and there's nothing iconic about it...

I take this to imply that the Axons are now cold, meaning that there is
nothing at the coordinates yet. Do we need to wait until the 24th to check
these coordinates?

Comments anyone?

Nobody is responding here... ok, like I said before, can anyone categorically deny there being a library more than a block or two away from any of these points? This way we can quell that theory.

I can categorically deny that there's no library near the Riviera Casino on the Vegas Strip......

Intersections of streets might be a category...

Of course we could assume that Melissa has visited earth in the future. If i wanted to get a sense of where i was id use landmarks to find my position

Although historical landmarks may not change, the rest probably would. Maybe i should of thought be fore i posted.

Thanks, vpisteve! Ok, so it's not just libraries. Good. What about street names... does that mean anything? Could the street names be a word puzzle?

Street names could, but it'd be problematic since many coordinates are intersections.

Countdown

Maybe there is nothing at the coordinates until the countdown ends!

Perhaps all these locations are the start of a cultural database...maybe not to be grouped by restaurants or stores, but simply the fact that it is learning what Target is, and what the Sears Tower is, and what the Smithsonian is...etc

ilovecheese, the prevailing theory is that the sectordmg, whatever pages are the archives of the old phases... in other words,

http://www.ilovebees.com/surg.!store.primary.sector.mem.dmg.0.0.html is the archive of the home page pre-phase 1.

http://www.ilovebees.com/surg.!store.primary.sector.mem.dmg.1.0.html is the achive of the home page during phase 1.

We can only assume that the next incarnation would be 2.0, being the stuff we're seeing on the normal (ha!) pages now.

I'll actually be driving past the Addison & Wilton intersection after work today.

But I don't recall anything special there except for Wrigley down the road a bit.

(warning - Halo based references ahead)

Considering the varied locations being reported, and the suspicion that Melissa might be (unknowingly?) working for the Covenant, AND how dreadful and flaming she seems to be making it sound it will be when she full wakes up... I offer this completely unfounded, utterly wild, speculation:

Anyone else feel like they're about to get glassed?

has anyone figured out why there's none in texas yet?

It's 'cause us Texans oppose the Axons of Evil.

Ahem. Sorry. I'm not being much help, am I?

I think that's precisely right (and I missed it the first time, since the counter still doesn't render in Mozilla). But I think your conclusion is only an assumption. We've been presented with a puzzle, and there's no internal evidence yet that should lead us to wait for its conclusion.

I didn't find any pattern when I mapped the coordinates as lines connecting each point in a two-element tuple, but I'm not completely happy with the mapping software I used.

You guys looking for a China connection? Switch all of the coordinates to positive, and watch what happens.
