I get 135 off, 134 on..anybody else verify?

...I'm writing a quickie java prog to verify right now...

Well...we only have 110 pairs, which is 220 coords. How does that add up? Ack!!

Oh yeah, and we have 135 off's, which is an odd number. We have an even number of coords.

Hello everyone in the neverending thread: I'd like to just put in a plug. If you've got a second, please visit this thread:

So is there any importance in the location of the Rackspace server? I live in San Antonio, so I'm just wondering...

Thoughts on 220

I posted this in one of the many other coordinate threads.

The significance of 220? Not divisible by 3 or 7, but 220, 110, 55, 44, 22, 20, 11, 10, 5, 4, 2 and 1. When you add 110+55+44+22+20+11+10+5+4+2+1 = 284, now read the following:

Anyone heard of amicable (friendly) numbers? The simplest type involves pairs of numbers so that the sum of the proper factors of each number is equal to the other number. This immediately suggests comparison with friendship in psychological terms based on two people sharing complementary personality characteristics. The best known amicable pair comprises 220 and 284. The sum of this pair = 504, which is the product of three consecutive numbers (6 * 7 * 8). Also, if we take the reverses of 220 and 284 (i.e. 022 and 482) and add we again get 504.

Maybe we're either looking for weird math like this or perhaps only the columns
1+2+4+5+10+11+20+22+44+55+110
are significant.

More fun math!

Also, if you're looking for that 7, the significance of 5913 (on Dana's blog) is that

1! + 2! + 3! + 4! + 5! + 6! + 7! = 5913

or

(1x1) + (2x1) + (3x2x1) + (4x3x2x1) + (5x4x3x2x1) + (6x5x4x3x2x1) + (7x6x5x4x3x2x1) = 5913

1+2+6+24+120+720+5040

Heh... that's rather interesting. It's a little too coincidental to not have been intended to be that way.

Yea, thats too many ons and offs to be in relation to the coords. There isnt much you can do mathematically to relate them either.

I supposed to be working right now, but let me throw out this idea. What about even/odd pairs or whatever matches the on/off thing?

Another thread killed by math. So, are we waiting to see if the coordinates update?

not sure this is relevant, but the picture in the background of the links page (http://www.ilovebees.com/links.html) that is the fun stuf image, when corrupted reads as follows:

Jumping for the great throne room
She comes on behind

not sure if this is a trout or not, but i did a search and didnt find anything.

'Tis Trout . This, and the hidden haikus in all of the other images on the site, are catalogued and discussed here.

I've been having a little trouble keeping track of everything, since the only computer I've had access to for the last couple days has been at work, so this is probably trout. But how thoroughly have these locations been scrutinized?

Most of the accounts I've read only mention the nearby buildings, payphones, bus stops, etc. It's QUITE obvious that none of that stuff is relevant. But some of the accounts are a little more interesting to me. There are two locations in Palo Alto, for example, that are at different ends of a pedestrian subway. Apparently both entrances of this walkway have chalkmarks pointing in, one with the message "Yep," and the other with the message "Yo ho." Another location is in the middle of a field (I don't remember where) has nothing but a little orange flag. Now I know how incredibly possible it is that none of that has anything to do with ILB, but I think it's worth investigating more. It's POSSIBLE the PMs just meant for us to look harder. Maybe someone should dig under that orange flag or something.

Just a suggestion.

Around here, digging under orange flags is a no-no... although typically orange flags denote "Don't dig here, telecommunications lines below" (again, maybe that's a northern-illinois convention, but still worthy of note)

And another thing.

We HAVE confirmed that Dana didn't take a road trip all over the country when she left, right?

Actually, I have no idea what you're talking about, Dilly-O. We don't have proof that Dana went ANYWHERE, except that the Queen can't find her, so it would give credence to the view that she did, in fact, leave the country. (or, if the coordinates are what we think they are, I guess Dana could have gone to Texas? Wink ) Anyway, Dana could have been going all over China, but if you mean, do we have proof that Dana didn't go all over the U.S.? No, we don't, but then again, we also don't have proof that Dana isn't a two-headed demon intent on turning children into gummi pizzas either... Rolling Eyes
