It's been talked about, but these coords are so EXACT, landing right on a street or intersection, that it seems unlikely to be anything other than just what they are.
They are not all that exact, the maping programs just make them look that way. If I recall correctly, 1/1000th of a degree is only accurate down to about +-50 feet. EDIT: But I do agree that they are supposed to be in the US, they match up with population centers pretty well.

Ok, I've managed to get them all done now I think. Took a while, and about 4 scripts
It goes:
original_lat original_long * location_lat location_long | address
Includes the updated incorrect lat from 33.8669 to 37.8669.
It goes in the order of the table, row1-column1 row1-column2 row2-column1 etc.
One thing, it uses terraserver so there is some rounding of coords, to get a proper location like a house etc.
Updated: Column/Row numbering, and neatening.

Corner of Old Georgetown Road and Democracy Blvd here in MD. There are many strip malls (one has a Blockbuster in it that just recieved a whole bunch of new stuff -all unopened when I was there, the other has a Starbucks and a bunch of other hoitey toitey boutique stores) and not much else. Montgomery Mall is a few miles down Dem Blvd as well.

That's the corner of Cliff and Beach streets in Santa Cruz, CA, about a 10 minute drive from my house. Around that intersection there's a bowling alley (NW), an large arcade (S), and a parking lot (NE).

Well, this stinks. I live within a fairly short drive of 3 or 4 of the locations, but I'm not going to be able to go to any of them.

Thanks to Wishi, I noticed that there was one Manhattan point that I had missed:
40.7729 -73.9639

I visited
27.9293 -82.2876 - Brandon
It's at the corner of Vonderberg Dr and Bowing Oak. The map shows a 3 way intersection, but the 4th direction is actually an entrance to the parking lot for a public library.
The marked spot is a small grassy area with a few oaks. I took a picture from across the street
http://deaddrop.us/ilovebees/brandon.jpg
Also on that corner is the walk-in clinic noted on the sign, a building with two medical offices and a park with 4 ball fields.
I spent about 90 minutes scouring the area. I found no evidence of anything out of the ordinary - no graffiti, out of place signs, geocaches, bees, beer, or anything of interest. I walked all through the ball parks, checked the dugouts, the hedges, looked up in the trees, under logs...
There was a snipe sign with a website and 800 # but I'm almost positive it's not ingame, so I'm not going to post the details. The business advertised is a swimming school for kids with 3 locations in the area. They are a legitimate company.
After I took the pic, a truck parked under the tree. The truck had "Jesus is the way" across the windshield. I suspect it is not ingame.

The above is 38.7006 - 93.2505 corner of W. 14th and Hwy 65 in Sedelia Mo. Thats a block north of the Mo. State Fair Grounds. That's all Sedelia is famous for.
Do we have a fangroup at the state collage in Sedelia?
I live just north of I70 and there are no co-ordinates nearer to me.

More detail about Cape Cod location The location on Cape Cod is at the corner of Main and Pleasant Streets in Hyannis (Barnstable). It is a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and I have an email in to the Hyannis Public Library (just a couple of blocks away...) to find out just what is there. Coincidentally (or not?!) I will be moving to the Cape next week, so I will be in the vicinity on the 24th, should we decide the sites need monitoring on that day.
EDIT: There is also a Chinese restaurant within about a 1/4 mile.

1035 Thompson Blvd, Sedalia, is right next to the community college (according to the Chamber of Commerce), which goes along with the "schools and landmarks" theory, but doesn't explain the multitude of other points in Sedalia.

This is the page Dana postet on her blog:
http://www.indo.com/cgi-bin/dist?place1=san+francisco,+ca&place2=beijing
I think its a clear hint that we are looking for locations in China.
Its convenient that Dana is there, and the coordinates of Beijing fit right into the ones on the site.
"The queen will try to
chase me but I know all the
hidden secret ways."
This quote from the site could support my theorie as well.
35.2204 -114.0358 would be 35°N 114°E = Henan, China (about 600 KM from Beijing)

I researched the Alton, IL location (38.9016 -90.1480). Because I was kind of taken in by the Library theory, I used Mapquest to search for libraries near that location. The nearest was 2.17 miles away. I don't think it's close enough. I'm not quite sure what to think about this whole puzzle.
