[SPEC][Question] Content of phone call

If the pay phone theory is correct (and the data clinches it now in my opinion), what will the phone call on Tuesday be like?

Will it be recorded, or a conversation?

(META: The Beast had a phone call puzzle which was a conversation, so I am considering both possiblities equally likely at this point. The time interval is pretty short for a conversation, but a.) Melissa could intentionally keep it short or b.) there could be more than one person making the calls, since I guess some sort of voice modification is going to happen anyway.)

If it's recorded, what clues should we listen for? What might be different between calls? (My personal guess at this point would be a speech everyone hears, but some sort of background clues that are particular to each location. Perhaps numbers that lead to the web sites Melissa is infecting next. Some redundancy may be included, but I doubt all 200+ locations will get the same recording.)

If it is a conversation, what should we say? Is Melissa going to try to convince us to do something? She we try to convince *her* to do something? (I'm really not sure what will happen on this one -- could someone more familiar with the Statue of Liberty puzzle from The Beast share what the interaction was like?)

The statue "puzzle" was just a guy improving as a security guard... he just answered "statue security" - and the rest was up to us. We spent the day calling him over and over - sometimes chatting or interrogating - finding out what his favorite football team is - often getting hung up on - until we finally convinced him to go save our friend who was in trouble.

(I say "WE", but alas, I wasn't on the ball that day. By the time I called the #, the red king was already safe and sound.)

I highly doubt this will be actual conversation. The time intervals are too close together - and if they were using multiple people, it would create quite a consistency problem if they were all improvising with us....ya know?

Well, this is being brought up in the general forum as well (Interaction Spec) .. but I'll bite.

It's probably more likely it will be recorded. It makes just as much IG sense and a little more meta sense.

But, there are ingame clues that Melissa is trying to interact.

And if she's basing her voice from anything of Dana's, the PMs could use the same actress to do the conversations.

With the evidence given, the only restriction is that the calls could only last a minute or two, maybe a little more.

It's possible, and we probably won't get any new indications about it. I don't think it's likely but it seems anyone going to the coords should be prepped for it.

And a month later, I had to explain to my girlfriend why our joint phone bill had 85 one-minute calls to New York. Laughing

That was a great day and a really fun experience.
