Shocked What kind of pharmacies do you have in Amsterdam?

I never realized how close Winnipeg is to me. I sometimes forget that I could get to the Canadian border in less than half a day's drive. I could definitely get to Winnipeg by car.

It's not that I don't want you to visit, but I do have to warn you that -40 Celcius is still -40 Fahrenheit, and it does, on occasion, get that cold for the entire month of February.

If that's what the group decides, and you don't mind the cold that will freeze your very soul, then by all means, come. Rebekah will be 4 by then and will need to test out her 1337 ROT skills of visitors.

OK seriously, I was kidding about Winnipeg in winter. No, seriously. Last winter in NYC it got down to 1F and it pwn3d me. -40F would make me cry like a little girlie man.

Amsterdam

Really Giskard, you should have mentioned the amusement park before, let's just make Amsterdam the official spot of all future ARGfests and be done with it.

For all in favor of New York City(east coast) as a destination, may I suggest Washington DC. Tons to do and see and it's all free. Museums, Monuments, and the National Zoo most of it is free admission. The historical things you can see are incredible too; The Bill of Rights, Arlington cemetery, Mt. Vernon, and lots of Civil War battlefields are fairly close.

OK you made me log in from work since I didn't see this thread earlier...

/me remembers a trip to the Statue of Liberty which required walking up numerous flights of stairs for a 10 second look out the windows in the Crown.

I'm abstaining from voting at this point since I won't be doing any travelling for a bit (various reasons).

If I were voting, as much as I would love to go to the Midwest and visit Varin in Chicago, I'd have to through my vote to New York City, or Washington DC.

NYC has has museums and Broadway shows (sorry guys I am not much into Bars and Bar hopping) and the NYC Library (maybe I am the only one who would be interested in seeing it)...

Washington DC has lots of things to go see, the National Mall - see the Lincoln Memorial or the White House at least once in your life if you haven't... Washington also has many of the Smithsonian Museums, notably the Air & Space, and the Natural History ones, which you could spend years going through the exhibits and still not see everything there is.

I'm not certain which city to vote for, I only know that I won't be going anywhere COLD, ever again, unless I really have to. I've been through an earthquake(nothing really) in Vancouver, a hurricane( don't want to do that again) at home, the only thing that mother nature has left to throw at me is a blizzard and I've been in enough of those growing up in Cleveland.

I think that DC would be cool, Chicago and NYC too. We didn't make it to Vegas, so that's still a possibility for me. See, I said I wasn't certain yet.

But definitely not Winnipeg in the winter! Shocked

What's that stuff Swedish people stick in their lower lips that gets you really high? It's like chewing tobacco, except you don't chew it. I've had it a couple times, always with Swedish people, and every time I got really f'd up.

You guys always snub Chicago.

Chicago is where it should be, it's in the middle so east and west coasters can come.

New York in April/May 2005 is good for me, I was planning to fly over to the US around that time for a holiday anyways. Would be fun to meet up with everyone. A meetup in London is of course always a good thing as well.
