Topic. I'm not watching any forums so I wouldn't know about that.

Usernames are not moderators.

Just as well I knew about this problem - today I got a cheery email beginning with "Hi Dorkmaster!". Smile

At least it's fun to watch who else is looking Wink

Anyway I've just taken a look tonight and it appears the problem is stupid and small.

It appears the mod sends one email and bccs it to everyone on the list and the last person who has signed up to watch a topic will get their name in the email notification to everyone! I haven't checked through the code to make sure but this seems like the most reasonable explanation from the bit of testing I've done.

So, how to solve the problem ... simple! You no longer get your name in the email Wink

I just started using this feature (works wonderfully for things that are dead and on their way to becoming zombified) and I noticed that the name issue is still there for the new topic notifications. (Topic Reply Notification works fine because the username isn't in it...and this is obviously only an issue when watching a whole forum.)

I'm not a mod, and I've gotten emails in other peoples' names. However, it's always (as far as I recollect) due to me watching the thread. I don't recall seeing a message that states "Watching the Forum" but I will check with the next email that says "Hello, anyonebutdorkmaster" Wink

The email confirmation code is confusing enough to make baby Jesus cry. Sad
