[SPEC]does Mellisa go dormant between updates?

so we get an update every 2 weeks, with text splattered over the website that comprises about 5 minutes worth of internal monologue

what happens in between?

it would seem to me that every day, heck, every minute, the webpages should be updating as Mellisa spills her memory into the sectors of hard drive containing the webpages... or does the SPDR put her under for those periods as it repairs her?
maybe the AI is so advanced that it takes our primitive computers 2 weeks to process 5 minutes worth of thoughts?

[meta]yeah, i know this is so the PM's have time to come up with new material, but, how is it explained in-game?[/meta]

I think the SPDR was using the ilovebees as a holding space for it's work on Melissa's mind. Each week it would dump the last week's memory into the archive pages, and use ilovebees to display it's latests results.

In other words, the site was being worked on everyday, the SPDR just kept it inside Dana's computer.

Each week, when enough information was amassed, it would connect to the ilovebees server, and update the website.

Now that the Flea is in charge? Who knows how this changes the dynamic, but it seems like he is retaining use of a modified SPDR command interface. And thus, he might decide to retain use of the SPDR operational protocols.

CoffeeJedi, first, for ease of typing, I'm going to call you CJ...

Secondly, I first want to give chaotic_mind a round of applause for a very "in-game" theory. However, I think we'll see on Tuesday how things will progress now that the flea is large and in charge. I personally don't think that we'll get much more info on the site on Tueday... just me, I suppose. I think we're waiting for August 24th, and I'm becoming more and more convinced that there's an event at the coordinates on the 24th.
(*DM gets sequinned hotpants ready)
However, if there's going to be anything on Tuesday at all, I can only assume it will be that one missing piece to the Coordinates puzzle.

BTW, not that I really want to know the answer yet, but has anyone checked in the Cloudmaker's areas to see what's been figured out by them? (I am just curious if they've solved this one yet. However, I repeat, I don't want the answer, if it's out there, yet..)

I havn't looked into what the Cloudmakers have been doing. Since Cloudmakers.org was down at the beginning of this game I thought they were all hanging out here, but as I can see they are up an running again. Very Happy (runs off to see how they're doing)
