The modification records in the PB848 section list exceptions 6-10, 12-14 and 15-19, but what about exceptions 1-5 and 11?

Time for some spec.

Ok, so we need to sabotage PB848 production by producing inferior models (ie configs). This has already happened in the past (probably not on purpose but we don't know that), so they have some checking in place. The reports decribe exactly what mods produced the inferior models. These reports are convieniently corrupted, so we can't just read what the bad configs are. I also think they have manually setup the system to check for the "known bad" configs in the reports, so even if we could read them it wouldn't help much.

What I think we need to do is come up with a "bad config", and then implement it in stages. For example, if a bad config requires changes in Agility, Motor and Weight, player A makes the change to Agility (as you will note TUX has already done), player B makes changes to Motor, and player C makes changes to Weight. Individually each of these changes will not trip the "known bad" checker, but in combination they will produce an inferior model.

Apologies in advance for the length; I can't seem to get the [font size=x-small] tag to work within spoiler tags. >_>

THESE QUASI-BOTS APPEAR TO MEET PRODUCTION STANDARDS BUT ARE ACTUALLY INFERIOR TO THE POINT OF CREATING QUESTIONABLE CONTROL FOR THE MASSES. CURRENT PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES HAVE OUTPACED CURRENT CONTROL MEASURES.

Yep, I think Stormalong's right.

Digging through the other reports... there's a "INFERFIOR IN CONTROL, MANUEVERABILITY, AND PROCESSESSING CAPABILITIES." that's interesting. And, well, I'm usually good at translating b0rken English stuff, lemme try this. Smile [Bracketed text] is copied directly from the original.

There's a "ORIGINATOR: CIN-4125" and "SEC REVIEW: MPS-2414" IDed; could be useful later. (As a side note, it may be the Paranoia player in me, but the lack of regularity to these prefixes is annoying me. Oh, well. Smile )

"PWS-9513" also yadda yadda yadda with an "increase to weight", "mod to power supply", "mod to specialty processor". Someone else also yadda with "one drop [something] [and?] [radio?]", and "one [something] blue". Next person is incomprehensible. Next person had a "mod to [A-something] supply and [motor?]". Next person or persons is incomprehensible. Last person did a "mod to motor processor", and A-somethingelse.

...whew. So I'm thinking weight, processors, and power supplies seem like the important things, although that may just be me. Blue also seems to be important; that maps to either Agility or Weight. I think we may want to concentrate on the processors, though, both for the red comment and for general frequency of modifications.

And, as a more intuitive thing, I vote we definitely sabotage the backups and specialties. We may want to leave the main settings more or less alone, for subtlety's sake.

Although this is, er, all off the top of my head at 4:30 AM my time. [coughs]

Hi Stormalong,

Yes, I think you are right. Now that I have changed the agility of the Robots, it won't let me change anything else, it keeps telling me that my work series is over, session terminated.

So someone else has to change something else.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
What you have to do is load the original config first, then click on one of the functions that you want to try to change, then drag it off it's slot and take your finger off the mouse click, that part will disappear, then go over to the parts and click on the new part you want to replace it with and drag it over and place it in the slot, make sure you change all 3 Robots for the same new part.

Good luck guys!

I'm gonna try again tonight, but I doubt if I can change anything else now, it could be up to you guys now.

Edited once, as I thought it would be best to spoiler my explanation of how I changed the configuration.

I can't seem to change anything. Keeps telling me my modification has failed the Q-2 check.

EDIT:
Now, I seem to be banned from PB848 fabrication. for "Excessive/harmful modifications" ... Guess I'm out of this part of the game.

oops I'm banned now too.

I got through most of the single changes on the board. looks like the next change will have to be of more than one type.(i.e. you cant leave the motor type standard if you are going to change the proc. ( at least according to those reports))

You're banned?

How long have you been trying? Maybe it's time sensitive and you will have to leave it 24 hours, before you try again, like a work shift.

I was told my series was over, which is the work shift, so I am gonna wait now till tonight, round the time I went on last night, and see if I can do anything more then.

Ok, I played around with this a bit and found the following:

If you attempt to modify more then a single column (no matter how many rows) you get the:

Quote:
EXCESSIVE/HARMFUL MODIFICATIONS
DETECTED...MODIFICATION REJECTED

message. Because of this I think that we have to modify a single column at a time. However, I tried every single column modification from the load standard right now, and all were rejected. This makes me suspect that this time we will have to also selectivly modify rows, IE: only the specialty or backup rows.

Hi Anthrax,

Yes, I worked that out last night that I could'nt change more than one specification.

But you could be right, now that I have changed the agility on all 3 Models, we have to just change one Model at a time, be very subtle.

Good luck, I hope you guys can add to what I have already done.

How do you send in the password? Do you put it in the email body or the subject line? Maybe that's why some people's passwords don't work, if they did it the wrong way.

I put mine in both. I sent another copy this morning, so we'll see if that one gets through.

edited to add - I just got a confirmation mail and got in Smile
