Hey all, been reading about this, found it interesting, live near some of the gps points, and thought Id tell you my observations. I went to the one that takes place at 17:43, and there was nothing. A maverick gas station, and an accounting firm. Thats it. Figured Id put this in here, never know if it could help Smile

OK we *almost* know that something will be happening in these locations, because the PMs have changed the date to match the current DL saving time status. I do find it odd that these are all in the continental US, which would seem to point that this is completely network related and in no way part of some "giveaway"

The time change correction obviously means that something will happen in those co ordinates, but some of them are way too random. There is a chance athat these could be just mistakes, as we know that one of the first locations was built straight into the water.

My idea on what will happen is that perhaps nothing will happen at all in RL, but we may be seeing more of a change come about in ilovebees.com, as the queen is getting rebuilt, and using these network locations for her recovery.

--As a end note, 74 coordinates are updated in 4 minute intervals, 135 are updated in three minute intervals, and 1 is updated in 2 minutes.

7+4+1+3+5+1=21

21=3*7

74*4= 296
135*3=405
1 *2=2
2+405+296=703, which, incidentally is a prime number.
(Not that it means anything, just thought it may be interesting)

things to note about a lot of the Los Angeles area spots:

11:11 - right across from the Santa Monica 3rd street Prominade and mall (VERY popular and busy spot) I believe there is a theater there and a McDonalds at the corner
11:23 - at the Block at Orange (again a VERY popular shopping plaza)
16:15 - UCLA (popular university)
17:39 - The famous Chinese theater (popular tourist area where big movie premiers are held and all the celebrity cement handprints are)
17:47 - basically Disneyland's California adventure (spin off of disneyland)

these are all landmarks of this area...and all very busy spots...not sure if that's relevant. another thing i noticed while making this post is that most if not all are right at/near theaters. Then i remembered that the first i heard of this ARG was in the theatrical trailer for Halo (which glitches to "ilovebees.com", which i'm sure you all know) and started thinking that maybe there was a connection...I really doubt there is, but if anyone could verify or discredit this, please do. (sorry if this is a trout)

I have confirmed that nearly all the 6-9 4-minute points are in the western part of the US (except two points at 8:39 and 8:55, i.e. towards the end) and the 3-6 4-minute points are almost all in the easternUS (except 14:59:00
15:03:00,15:07:00,15:11:00,15:19:00,15:23:00,15:35:00, i.e. right at the begining.)

The three minute points are pretty eavenly spread.

There does not appear to be an apparent pattern in any set of data.

There do seem to be a lot more universities turning up.... Universities often have large fast connections to the internet and in the UK they even have their own network backbone running accross the country, Is there something similar in the US as this might explain the prevelence of universities (noone say because many players and game buyers are students, or else ;p).

EDIT: I got lat/long muddled up. Eastern/western makes more sense as well, especialy if the solution is celestial Or maybe it's just beause 6 am is later in the west and so people will be awake ;p and in the west it will be 9pm by the time we get to 6pm eastern time. Damn, that screws my theory up...

I can't speak for all Universities, but most do have T1 lines, etc. If it was related to bandiwith and available processing power in those areas, I'd think more schools like MIT would be listed. I'm not really convinced all of the coordinates are particularly useful, some are probably just dead ends.

I'm thinking of physical appearences OR spreading to the websites of the physical locations.

The websites of the locations is an interesting point (and one I've brought up before). Universities, museums etc all have websites, presumably with their address on somewhere that could give GPS. But hacking into those websites is unlikely to happen, nor are they that likely to agree to ingame clues going on the website unless they're very, very well hidden -- or very well paid! Still, it might be worth collecting at least a preliminary list. But that doesn't explain the times, nor the 'transmit', really. (And yeah; I think the change in co-ords is either a result of the PMs going "oh gods, they're going to turn up!" -- or a not so gentle prod that the actual locations don't matter!)

Location: UK. Southwards.

Right, new location list due to the PMs finally fixing the two sea points that were left.

17:55 and 09:23 have both changed and are now pointed at Seattle.

Awesome list Wishi, but I think your 7:27 time should be 06:19 (fourth one down)

Three locations with something in common:

9:35 is an overpass of two sets of train tracks in Moscow ID (acme url)

15:03 is an overpass of one set of tracks in Bowling Green MO (acme url)

16:19 is a highway bridge over a creek in Longmont CO (acme url)

No buildings nearby.
No safe place for any sort of game-related event.

What would Melissa/the Queen be wanting to see at those points?
What is it about highway bridges that interests her?

[edit: found a 3rd point, realized that what they had in common was bridges not railway lines]

Austin TX location change

I've noticed that the coords for 14:41 PDT, Austin TX, have changed to 30.274933 -097.741183. This is a good thing because it looked like it was in someone's front yard and is now downtown close to the capital building. I need to get down there to check it out myself if I have time today.

Wishi-san, can this be updated on the location list you made? Awesome list by the way. Wink

Yes, this is great work! but I also think that the 15:47 point has been accidentally replaced by the 16:39 time.

EDIT: oops ignore that! I just took another look at ilovebees and saw that 15:47 and 16:39 have the *exact* same coordinates, down to the last decimal point:

15:47 -105.131390 39.977780 Broomfield Colorado
16:39 -105.131390 39.977780 Broomfield Colorado

This is the first time that we've seen that, right??

But I still think that the perturbation in times around 11am is a PM error. If 11:01 is changed to 11:02 the pattern would be preserved.

wishi-san,

there's something wrong with a few list entries.

07:27 PDT - -070.289091,41.652214 | Barnstable, Massachusetts, United States (wrong time)

07:27 PDT - -070.289091,41.652214 | Barnstable, Massachusetts, United States (2nd time in list, is wrong coords, should be 39.911569 -086.215736 based on the 7:27 PDT time)

Not to be the nitpicker, but I was interested in the Cape Cod coords (being from there and all).

Smile

and what on earth is 14:20 supposed to be? The location is in the middle of a highway, north of Gulf Shores AL. (acme url)

Actually, I tried working on a couple of nearby points yesterday and got nowhere. But those points had something in common with this one, and that's that they're all located on the Gulf Shores Parkway.

What could the Queen have seen in that particular highway?
