Or if Dingus is completely sure that he/she can grab the TWO later ones,
I could get the drive up, get the 10:41, hang out a bit, then on the way
home, grab the Stanwood local.
By the way, Dorkmaster, thanks for all the effort you are giving in
organizing this.

Location: Near Chicago

Hi, I've been lurking since Metacortechs, and I would love to get involved. I live in the Chicago suburbs, and seeing as the one suburban location is covered, I would like to help with the chicago locations. I can at the very least make it to the 7:03pdt time, and possibly the other three, but it depends on work commitments.

Grout and kaynorr, feel free to PM me, and maybe we can meet up tuesday.

I'm positive I can get to the 17:59 coordinate (I can throw rocks at it from my office right now Very Happy ) and with a bit of cajoling I think I can get to the 17:19 one. I'm a he too.

And besides, the more the merrier. It's just too bad none of the ones up here are by bars. Mr. Green

Well, pencil me in for the 17:27 coordinate in Berkeley, CA.
I'm not absolutely positive I can make it, but I'll do my best to rush there after work.

Hey, Trout me if you must, (I'm hungry, anyway... Wink) but I have a problem. It looks like I might be able to get to the,

"10:11 PDT - -094.240709,45.553526 | Waite Park, Minnesota, United States | Satellite Image Map"

Coordinate, but, I don't have a GPS doohickey that I can use to help find it. Can anybody help me out here? (An address would be nice. Wink)

I'm on Dallas -- at least the Dealy Plaza phone, and probably the Reunion Tower location, too. See y'all out there!

San Francisco

I can cover most of the San Francisco locations.

08:59 PDT - -122.408630,37.787249 | San Francisco, California, United States

12:50 PDT - -122.407931,37.784899 | San Francisco, California, United States

16:51 PDT - -122.407104,37.797956 | San Francisco, California, United States

17:03 PDT - -122.396824,37.792786 | San Francisco, California, United States

17:11 PDT - -122.418330,37.775000 | San Francisco, California, United States

18:03 PDT - -122.404263,37.788013 | San Francisco, California, United States

Some of them will be a tough stretch, especially the 16:51 to 17:03 and 17:03 to 17:11

Those will probably be a taxi trip. I might be able to do the 17:03 to 17:11 by taking the metro since there are stations near both locations but 8 minutes isnt a whole lot of time. A taxi might not even be able to make that because of downtown rush hour traffic, even though those two spots are only 10 blocks away from each other on the same street.

This location:
09:26 PDT - -122.490357,37.862998 | San Francisco, California, United States

Isn't even in San Francisco and I do not think I could make it from the 8:59 location to the 9:26 Sausalito location within 27 minutes. That is some serious driving. I could do it in a helicopter or a fast boat, if I happen to come across one because geographically it is very close but there is a large body of water that you have to drive around (by using the Golden Gate Bridge) and that takes time.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I do have several GPS recievers. Some of the locations are in the middle of very tall buildings so I do not know how accurate my GPSR will be but I will at least try to get it down to the square meter by scouting out the location before hand so I do not have to worry about it on the day off. Heck, I will probably just put a giant chalk square on the spot on the 23rd when I scout it out.

While it may not be the solution, everyone please check for payphones either before you get there or while you are there; discussion on this is in this thread:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5779

Just so that we don't miss anything. A large number of these payphones are in buildings very near the GPS locations.

Thank you James Blond!
I went up to St. Cloud before the coordinates changed and the times showed up. You can use MapQuest to put the coordinates in and get a map of the location. You can only go to Deg/Min/Sec, but it will get you within probably 100 feet.
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/latlong.adp

It should help you out. It looks like there is probably stuff there.
After using MapQuest for the coordinates, open another web window and use normal MapQuest to map the phone addresses from:
http://payphone-directory.org/

I'm guessing there's one pretty close.

Anybody else wondering if the Pay Phone Directory is being used specially by the PM's? Hmmmm?

Yeah, I wondered that too. I did some checking and it turns out not every place is in that one directory. But there are a lot of these payphone directories out on the web...
