myself and a few others will be at the Indianapolis location, it's been confirmed.

I haven't seen anyone else mention it, but if you're going, PM me and let me know.

I'm not sure what's at that spot, but I know it's near the Speedway.

What plans do others have for recording whatever might happen? I'm probably taking at least a camcorder, but perhaps something to record a phone call (if something does indeed happen with a phonebooth) etc.

I can visit one Phoenix location.

I can visit one of the Phoenix locations: 33.511875/-111.986529. It's at the Cork'N Cleaver restaurant, 5101 N. 44th Street, just North of Camelback. It's at 4:23PM, which should work for me, if I can get the wife to take off work a couple hours early so I don't have to drag the kids along. She already said she probably could do that for her goofy husband. Cool

Unfortunately I can't do the other Phoenix location, even though it's quite close to the first one. It's at 11:05AM, and I have to pick up my son from Kindergarten at 11:30, and that's across town. So hopefully some other Phoenix ARGer (haven't met any as yet) will take that one.

The Kingman location, though in AZ, is 3 hours away, so someone in NV might actually be closer to that one.

I'm considering the Kingman location, unless there's somebody already there.

Anyone?

Bueller??

Well, I'm not going to be able to make it to any of the locations, but I figured I could make a suggestion. I'm sure someone has already said something/thought about it, but TAKE A CAMERA. If there's something there, I wanna see it, darn it! Sorry. I'm bitter about not being able to make it. Stupid school. It can't cater to my newly found ARG addiction....

Ok, just got back from a vacation here, but I can get the one near Menlo Park [the one on alma]. It's REALLY close to me, so I'll be there for sure. Smile

From what I can tell, I'm the only one playing in SouthWestern Ohio, but I can't make it to the three locations in Ohio at those times. That day is the first day of school =(

So, if anyone is reading this from South West Ohio, and can get to the three locations there (if they weren't cut down in this last update), please post it here.

I can take both of these, both in Kissimmee, FL:

08:43 PDT - -081.591947,28.336158
07:43 PDT - -081.630343,28.346950

If someone wants to split them, it would be appreciated, since that's over an hour of unpaid time on a work day.

Reporting from Santa Cruz

Ok so I have read through almost everything and I checked out the Santa Cruz Location. Here's my break down.

1) It's at a three way intersection.
2) It's a parking lot. That's it. Just a parking lot.
3) It's across the street from the Boardwalk's Casino Arcade on one side and a Bowling ALley on the other.
4) No chinese food, libraries, or billboards around.
5) Nearest payphones are at the boardwalk and the bowling alley.
6) There's a plaque near the Boardwalk, this is the nearest intersection.
7) the street names are Beach St. and CLiff St. for the anagram people.
Cool In previous years, a private Haunted House company has rented the land. It's possible that Microsoft could do the same.

I think that's about it but I'm not sure so if I left anything out just let me know... Now as far as the storyline, let me add my knowledge...

AI's are flash cloned from people's brains. They have a Life time of about ten years before they start to degrade and basically think themselves to death. Is it possible that these locations are memories from the AI's "parent" brain? Is it possible that the AI was cloned from DANA sometime in the future? Is it possible that maybe now it's trying to reconnect with itself (Dana) through the website? Just some ideas...

Also, in the books Cortana is being chased by a covenant AI which she calls an assassin. What if this is a covenant AI that's a spy program that's got a glitch. Or maybe it's just collecting data for possible future drop spots.

While Coratana is being chased through the computers by the assassin she makes a copy of herself which makes a copy of itself. Unfortunately the copies aren't as good as the original (think Multiplicity). So what if the Queen/Widow/flea are all fragments or copies of one original program?

Just a few of my thoughts.... let me know what you think...

EDIT: so now that i went through all that I notice now that the location appears to have changed... my bad.

My GPS shows this as being the Fountain at Library Mall, Madison, Wi. That's to within about 6 feet, so pretty accurate.

Sadly, Setzer, I won't be able to make it. Work would kill me, as bad as I want to, just in case. I'm still applying brain power to this, though. I'm unconvinced as to us actually needing to be there.

Oh, and hi everyone. I've been watching for a while, but this is my first post here. Very Happy

Barnstable Locations

There appear to be three times, but only two locations in Hyannis (Barnstable). Based on some work with the Town of Barnstable property tax maps, one is a McDonalds on Rt. 134, and the other is a Burger King on North St.

<homer>
Mmmm, Angus-Burger-and-Egg-McMuffin-breakfast.
</homer>

The Queen demands a McFlurry? I guess they do have honey for McNugget dipping purposes...

I will, in all likelihood, be there. Looking forward to meeting you, Gheritt, even though your sig line still freaks me out ten years later.

EDIT: Was anybody else bummed when nobody took the bee-related Detour on The Amazing Race tonight? I thought for sure there would be a hint for us! Wink

my locations...

so I've looked over teh coordinates again and now there are two santa cruz locations instead of just the one. The one that was there before is in the same place but across the street, on the beach basically. The other location... is about five miles off the coast in the middle of the water. Is this another mistake or what? I can make it to the first location, but seeing as how i have no boat or even a surf board, getting five miles out is a little beyond me.

Fuel for the "stuff will be there" fire: Countdown to wide awake and physical.

I WOULD cover the Bellvue, WA location(s), but I'm so freaked out about the thing that I think I'd be looking over my shoulder for bees for the rest of my life (I already catch myself walking down dark halls a little faster if I'd been reading a lot of ILB that day...).

.. I agree with the people who say 'take a camera'.
And don't just take pictures of things that seem important, take pictures of EVERYTHING. Cover the entire area. Up, down, left, right, close, far, shots of the works.

I mean, if something is normal in one place (A tin can), but it shows up in every single place (Many tin cans, all identical) then you'd need to compare photos later to notice it.

Just my $.02
