[SPEC] Bloodhands pictures don't know if this is significant, but the two pictures of the bloody hands at the CMH site don't only resemble each other, but match perfectly.
I'm referring to:
http://www.cambridgementalhospital.com/bloodyhands.html
http://www.cambridgementalhospital.com/patients2.html
I did some simple scaling in photoshop. even the marks in the wall/door match between the images. the only thing that stands out is the signature in the "drawing". see the attached file.

The are the same. Either the site has faked "patient art" or the patients had access to Photoshop and the photo of the bloody hands.
It also looks like it's the same colour as in the blood painting dream.

Or one of the patients was a talented enough artist to do a semi-photo-realistic adaptation of something that he/she saw at CMH.

The thing I wonder about is the timing... I'm not sure when this hospital last held patients, but presumably Jim Doe drew that while the hospital was still open. Did the hospital close before that picture was taken? Why would an active hospital with patients leave up bloody hands for patients to draw? I emailed Charles to try and find out more about the timing of those 2 pics.
Another thing: Look at the top left corner of the picture. Looks like a weird smear or something. I couldn't read anything there... does steg leave a visible trace? Nothing ascii in the file.
Having opened them both in an editor now, those two pics line up perfectly. I think Jim drew his picture from that photo, unless something really spooky is going on.

Steg does not leave a visible trace, according to the steg page here on UF.

Actually, steg can leave a visible trace. It's usually not something in the picture, though, as much as it is just the general appearance of a poor resolution picture.

It looks to me an awful lot like someone did an edge-enhance operator
in some photo editing software...
I tried it earlier, but I was only using The GIMP. Someone with Paint Shop
or Photoshop may want to try this...

Another bothersome detail.
As in the issue with 'beatrice doe', 'jim doe' isn't usual for the unnamed, it's suppose to be 'john doe'. Now, I tried looking at the signiture upside down and i get 'aop wll' (not 'ann wil').
I'm still for the idea that we are meant to look at this picture up close.

I examined the two in Photoshop, overlaying them and changing the opacity, and clearly nothing has been added to the patient picture aside from the signature.
The j, upon close examination, doesn't appear to be a j at all. It is actually LESS curved than the i. So what we are left with is either "iim doe" or just plain "im doe" or perhaps something else that's harder to define.
"im doe" is relatively close to "i'm dead". Perhaps another picture from our friend Ann whose pyschic experiences might explain the perfect recreation of the blood-handed doors?

i've also noticed that the J and E are of different sizes than the IM and DO. it looks very intentional, especially since the middle letters are so uniform in size and writing style.

Also, a bit of translation of the name if you flip it horizontally (i.e. look at it in a mirror) the name appears to spell 'gob mij' or 'gob mii'

This is just a guess, but I'll put it in spoiler tags anyways.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you flip the doe horizontally, and then flip the d horizontally you get:
im god
I'm God.
It could be what a mental patient would say, right?

Message in Bloody Hands!!! Sorry for double posting, but this is important!
The photograph of the bloody hands has a message in it, written in blue crayon. I can't make out the letters, but it is definitely there.
Check out the high contrast image, where you can clearly see the blue "S" in the left hand.
This writing is not present in the drawing of the bloody hands.

That's great Watcher.
Tried filtering and looking at yours myself but couldn't make out anything particularly convincing. A stupidly shaped T and what looked like a P or an elongated E.
