[INFO] Coordinate Scouting Spreadsheet Roundup!

Since it's obvious that the coordinates will play some sort of role on the 24th, we're trying to get a master list of who will be where, at what time. I have modified someone's Excel spreadsheet to show who's got what (so far) and I have been updating it every hour or so... I just wanted to have this out there so people could know about this effort, without having to read 7 billion posts in the "Who's going where, when" thread.

Here's how you can contribute: go to that thread, and check out whatever is the last posted version of the excel sheet. (if you don't have MS Excel, then I suppose you have to read the posts to check out what's been taken... sorry.) If you see a location that you can go to on the specified time on the 24th, either PM me, or let me know by posting on that thread.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about a location as well. I don't have GPS and of course I'm not familiar with the entire US, so I don't presume to know details about locations, but I'd be glad to search if a location has been taken or if a location is within a certain driving distance/time from your location, provided you give me that info... Anyway, thanks and I hope to see all points covered soon! We're already a third of the way there, and hopefully will be complete by the end of this week! Very Happy

(Admins or Mods, can we get this as either an announcement or a sticky?)

Edit - Given Temp "sticky" status until this coordinate thing gets solved - SG
Edit - Un-stickied in anticipation of the madness -veen

Thanks for the sticky, ScarpeGrosse!

I do have one more thing to add, however, about those who want their locations to remain anonymous:

If you do not wish for me to put your name on a location, but WILL still be scouting that location, please let me know via PM, and I guarantee that I will keep your secret. I've already received a request for this, and have accomadated, so you can be assured that I have no reason to reveal your location or to betray your trust.

However, if you do not trust me (understood this day and age) perhaps you would trust one of the Moderators... if you would PM one of them, and if they would be so kind to forward the message that "x" location is covered, I don't have to know the name! I just want to make sure that all these locations are covered. That is my only concern.

I appreciate your concerns for being cautious with your screename/location situation, and I just wanted to add that I will be able to work with you there... Thanks! Let's keep knocking out these coordinates! We've got 75 as of the time this is written, so we have just under two-thirds left to go. (that's still a lot!)

We need YOUR help!

For those of you who don't have Microsoft Excel, try getting the free viewer available here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4EB83149-91DA-4110-8595-4A960D3E1C7C&displaylang=EN

I havn't used it before, but I imagine that it is something like Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Otherwise, I'm sure you can find it by googling "Excel Viewer"

HERE'S THE FINAL STRETCH!!!

OK, we've got approximately 4 days to cover approximately 90 more spots! Please go here or PM me and I'll get you signed up for the final list of location visiters on Tuesday, the 24th! Will it be a puzzle? Will it be a giveaway? Will ScarpeGrosse be wearing sequinned hotpants? Will absolutely nothing at all happen? You can't know for sure unless you sign up for a location! (Ok, so you'd find out, but it's much more exciting to find out this way!)

This is my last recruitment effort, as I'm on my way to Wisconsin tomorrow (Friday, the 20th)... So please sign up for any location that's unclaimed. Take claimed locations too! That way, if someone else can choose another spot, they'll know the one they originally signed up for is vacated as well! Just PLEASE PLEASE sign up!!! Thanks for your help in this effort, and I'll see you on BEE-Day!

Oooo, thank you! I so needed this. And it works great. Bless you.

Ok, obviously I lied. One more recruitment push! I'm begging you all to check out "the Phil" (a joke-y term I've created for the excel spreadsheet that allows us to coordinate better), and sign up for anything you can. I'm certain that we can cover all the points, although we still have a way to go (we even got some Utah points covered! Yay, bluemeanie!) Anyway, Thanks everyone who's been helping me keep the Phil updated with corrected points, etc... I repeat my previous cry though:

Get the points covered! Ask family! Ask Friends! Ask yourself! Go to these points, bring recording equipment (even if just a pen and paper!) and make sure we get as much info as possible on the 24th!

It's obvious from the blog entry Dana updated today (8/20/04) that we're to go to these locations. Let's see what's going to happen! Let's do this as a community! Do your part!!!!! Thanks, and even if you don't go, or live in a place where you cannot contribute physically, we'll be counting on you to get this puzzle solved once we get these pieces! Thanks! And I'll see you all on Monday!!!! (last day to update prior to Bee-Day!)

Ok, I'm Ba-ack! (Ok, horrible Pauly Shore reference there... sorry...) anyway, we've got 58 coordinates left to cover for tomorrow's Hot Axons Day! Let's keep signing up by clicking the links in the above posts, and I'll see you there tomorrow, all! (Not really, of course, because the physics of such travel would be mind boggling. And I'm not good at math.)

But thanks to ALL who have signed up, and for those who are "out of range" throughout the world and who will be helping us solve this entire thing come Tuesday!!!

EDIT - This is copied. The original is on the "Who's Going Where" thread.

Ok, well here's my last Phil until Axon Day... I'll be watching tomorrow as the axons go hot, and I'll be hitting the Bensenville location with buzzkill and any lurkers in the ChiSubs... But that's not until 4:56pm here (CDT), so we'll see whats-a-happenin until then... Let's keep signing up, since Aveena has graciously (Worshippy) volunteered to maintain Phil as long as she can today... SO NO MORE PM'S TO ME ABOUT AXON DAY unless you don't mind me NOT signing you up... (I'm not trying to be mean, but I just want to make certain y'all know WHY you're not on the "official" list come tomorrow morning!) So I'll see you all on the flipside of this thing! Until then...
