I hit up the 9:11 and 11:23 locations in Boulder Colorado.
Both happened to be right across the street from each other.

For the 9:11 call I showed about 8:45 and verious shady characters were lurking around the parking lot. I assumed they were ILBer's and I wasn't dissapointed. Looking like some pasty complecteded terrorist brigade we staked out the 5 or so phones distributed across the parking lot. At exactly 9:11 the phone on the opposite side of the lot from me rang, We booked it across just in time to here the guy at the phone answer Operator, the message then played. We all decided to then meet about 2 hours later for the next call.

At about 10:45 I arrived again, the ILBers in the area bought pizza and soda so we chilled and ate pizza while waiting for the next call. This phone however happened to be located right in the middle of small cafe's outdoor eating area. The phone we stood was literally 2 feet from two dudes having lunch. Needless to stay they were a little taken aback by ten or so nerds sporting camera's and audio recording equipment crowding their eating space.
The guy was like "Uh.. excuse me gentlemen what's going on here"
I responded "Um.. Its a long story, and you probably wouldn't care, but it isn't anything shady.. so don't worry"
About 30 seconds later the phone rang. I answered operator and all went according to plan.

Our little group of phone answerers will recongregate for other two calls in boulder at 3:15 and 6:15, I'll check back in with those accounts

I was at the 10:44 spot (Santa Cruz, CA). When I arrived, I saw plenty of other people positioned at phones. We all talked for a bit, and then split off onto each batch of phones. Problem is, none of them rang. We all gathered back up about ten minutes past our firing point, unsure of what to do. Our grouping succeeded anyways, but it still sucked to head out there for nothing. Anyone else get dud spots?

11:53 in Boise, ID. unsuccessful. Pretty sure we had the right payphone, it was only barely off coordinates but we also had people at the only other one within 200 feet or so covered also.

Got 2 calls, one asking if bob was there ??? one that was just silence with something like office noise behind it, then a click. Don't know if the kid on the phone messed up or what.

I'll try again at the 16:27.

Beer Chicago area coordinates

I'm just letting people know that I will be at the bensenville coordinates for beer at 14:56. (pics on my moblog http://pjv.textamerica.com). So if you are coming from the city and would rather go to the clark st. coord instead that's cool.

Went to the 12:02 location, people decided I should get the phone. Waited for the phone, and when the phone rang, listened to the message, but the one word that really mattered was obscured by a loud "BEES", and payphone recievers are really high quality, you know? Couldn't tell if she said 'your nickname' or 'my nickname', and I guess she said 'your', guessed wrong, but EYES still went live, fortunantly. So my mistake wasn't too bad of one.

Nervous- 2:17 EST

There was approx 30 people watching the 4 phone booths (E14th in NYC). We got the call. Unfortunately the guy who took the call did not right down the exact words he heard, something about her dad being upset. He did answer correctly and the AXON is HOT!!

Was at lat 37.784899 long -122.407931 time 12:50 cat Reflected:

Met Addicted again. I arrived early, got to hear everyone organizing. What to say, what to expect.

We tried Repeat. It repeated three times. I wasn't one of those who got to hear, hopefully they will be on later to give the script as they remember it.

No recordings, but based on what I heard, it sounded like the script was different than before.

Good group of people, take care, we may meet again.

Don't want to clog up the already clogged forums, but, as you probably already know... I hit the 12:08 chicago spot and heated up walkaway_girl. There were 2 payphone banks in the building. Krystyn and a couple others were there but I was the lucky one at the correct phone.

I'm gonna do the rest of the Chicago points, but the bad news is - it seems that the phones at 14:08 don't accept incoming calls. Meh... I guess I'll be there anyway. I'm that bored.

I went to the Walmart in Midlothian, VA, for the 12:17 point. The GPS coordinates are precisely in the entrance to the parking lot. There are no other pay phones anywhere around this location.

I showed up at about 12:10 PDT. There are 3 other folks aready waiting at the 2 pay phones out front. We wait. 3 more show up. We wait some more.

On past 12:17.

About 12:23 I test each phone with my celphone. They ring. :/

So no call for me.

Check for phones at your location

I found this helpfull website:
http://www.payphone-project.com/numbers/search.html

Not sure how reliable this is but it could be used to make a list of all the phones by your location so you don't miss one.

10:41 PDT Bellingham, Wa.

When I arrived at the location my mapquest printout pointed to, I began
smirking. Right there, in the exact spot, was a beautiful, empty phonebooth.

Waited 10 minutes.

(10:41) Nothing.

Female approaches.
"You waiting for a telephone call?" said said Female.
"Yes. Do you have the time?" I queried.
She responded quickly "10:41" without checking.
Then I floated "I'm expecting a call at 10:41".
She stood there looking at me.
I looked back at her.
She chewed her lip then "From who?"
Now you have to understand, I'm standing in front of a community
college and she's the right age to be a student.
Call me egotistical but for a mintue I thought "She thinks I'm hot."
Then to answer her question I showed a confused face and shrugged.
She paused then made a "bzz" sound.
I just about crapped myself.
She noticed this and I felt my "hot"ness level drop.
To save face for me she said "Ilovebees.com"
I recovered quickly and found out she was a lurker.

We waited another 10 minutes.

Nothing.

There were folks at both Indiana locations. The first phone apparently never rang. There were about 25 of us at the second location and it rang right on schedule at 10:07 local time. I didn't answer, but apparently it was really hard to hear (pay phones aren't really known for their high quality). Sadly, I don't think we managed to get the Dizzy axon to go "hot" but there are a few of us willing to head back over tomorrow if need be.
