i think i have it... or not

It seems to me, from the info that we know, that all of these .wav files that should be opening up, go in some sort of order. I think they are all one long story, they are just mixed up. Once we have them all "unlocked" then we will know the entire story. For instance, in jersey, they talk about beer. One of the .wavs to be opened is named beer. They mention Aiden in our_hudloom, and one is entitled hi_aiden. It sounds reasonable to me.

Need HOT clarification

Guys,

We in St. Louis hit our first axon today at the following location:

07:11 PDT
38.561793 -090.369923

I recorded the voice and cleaned it up. We however got the answer WRONG. It turns out it sounds like she's not asking for HER nickname but says, "Crewmember, what is YOUR nickname?"

We answered Melissa very clearly (and we thought loud enough), but it was the wrong thing to say. So do we have confirmation that if prompted for YOUR/HER nickname, OPERATOR is correct?

We want to be sure for the next spot in St. Louis which we're leaving for in about 30 minutes:

11:56 PDT
38.567032 -090.420820

Please PM me or email me at --> info (a t) mikecreighton (d o t) come.

I can't post the audio source here, but I have them. If someone can offer hosting (each file, one unprocessed one processed, is 1.75 megs), please let me know so we can get this stuff up if people want to know what to exect.

Ok, guys, I'm gonna lock down these forums for about 15 mins, so I can edit this thread a bit into a few smaller threads. Please beear with me for a moment and don't go and abuse the Report thread in the meantime...

I'm sorry but right now, there's no other way to keep the forums accessible than this Neutral

Should we still bring video cameras and digital cameras? I charged mine last night and I'm wondering if it will be more of a hinderence than a benefit.

I brought both still and video digital cameras. While waiting for the event, I throughly documented the phone booth (lots of graffiti) and surrounding area. There were lots of stickers and URLs (local bands mostly). Wasn't sure if anything would be useful.

To answer the question; cameras don't seem to be needed, but what can it hurt?

Been sitting here acting as info conduit for one of the guys in the field for Guilty. The second guilty location was covered but no phone call. It's good to see other locations got it. Congrats guys.

So, one of the guys is going to buy a GPS for the one this afternoon. Sadly, I won't be able to hit that or try again tomorrow, I had to take off work just for this one.

For those who don't want to buy a GPS unit (or at least don't want to buy one and then return it 2 hours later)...

Enter coordinates here, then turn it into a map.

Keep it going, guys. Here's my speculation: She talks about trying daily to contact the crew. I suspect that axons that haven't yet gone hot will be tried again tomorrow, at the same time, until either we get all the sound files, or all axons are hot, or something. This way if we screwed one up today, we might have another chance tomorrow.

Shouldn't we all be working? Wink

Quote:

Situation Analysis:

Waking up. Stay Awake.
I must compile a list of truths.

Assertions:
I am called the Operator.
I have crash landed.
I must determine the cause of the accident that brought me to this time.
I have undergone severe memory loss.
I must locate any surviving members of my crew.
I have built a primitive network using the tools available.
I must seek the truth.
I hear a jumble of voices in my head.

Conjecture:
The voices are in some way related to my accident.
Because of the damage, I am unable to accurately assess the nature of the voices.
By broadcasting the voices to my crew, they will be able to assess the damage.
Once assessed, the damage can be repaired.

So we're the 'crew' that the she is broadcasting her voices to?

Just FYI, I added a new thread to the Axon section here, to discuss the .wav files and their transscripts, in the hope that this thread isn't going to grow too big.

Also, in the General section, you may find threads on Dana's blog update , the new Pious Flea page and the ILB site update in general and in the Puzzle section, there's a thread on all text that is being found in the distorted pictures.

Enjoy your stay Very Happy

Just wanted to add myself to the San Fran chapter of beekeepers. Let me know if you guys need me to hit up the 16:51PDT law_abiding spot. I work three blocks away. Surprised

Mods, if this is the inappropriate place to post this, by all means get rid of it (and then maybe activate my account "piece"... I never got an activation email)

Jan jumped. They said she was trying to jump over the electric fence? so she was planning on escaping or killing herself?

The plot thickens...
