Looks like 1st 2 Axons were missed for Four_goats... 4 more chances to officially unlock this one today.

Sorry if this was mentioned already with teh traffic it's hard to be totally sure this is new, here's my SPEC:

1) We have a very unfull progress bar at the top (777) of the fun stuff page.

2) The background color of the page is only getting very slightly hotter (brownish green from lime). I would have expected it to go that acid orange color that's clearly invaded the site (not part of Dana/Margaret's original site design)

3) There is one more slot in each axon table (bottom right) that does nothing.

My guess: We're going to see links to a series of new pages of axons show up in thoose corner slots once this page is HOT. A bunch load more locations for us to scout, and possibly not just phones in that case! (okay wishfull thinking)

matias, the "acid orange" color IS part of the original design, its the color for the navigation buttons... in fact, if you right click on the orange part of the "progress bar" at the top, you'll see that its actually just the nav button for "fun stuff" being stretched and skewed

The BIG List

Many people have speculated that if all 7 in a group are activated, something will happen. I personally don't think so. Mods, if you find this is useful maybe it should be its own thread? Anyhow.... here is a list of the points we have 5-6 axons for. If we can make 1 of these go hot, we can see if anything special occurs. The best shot is walkaway_girl, we have SIX Axons Hot for it already. The reamining points are as folows:

Man, I can't imagine having to answer the phone at every single axon location. This game has been pretty interesting and fun so far. Tracking down all those stray phones to progress to the next "level" is the very definition of tedious. I think that's why the PMs only require two axon from each group to be activated. It'd be too hard any other way.

I like the idea that the x/777 progress bar shows our status in the game and how far we have to go to reach the next phase, maybe even the endgame. I think it depends on how difficult it will be to rack up points after this axon business.

Huh, what? Is the disscussion supposed to go elsewhere now?

Doh! You're right, for some reason I thought I remembered Dana's original buttons being browner less orange.

Nonetheless the AXON background *did* change, getting hotter and now... white? But no new puzzle/links/coordinates?

Guys, this is urgent!

If you want me to activate one of the Axons in Bellingham, I need to know the exact time and location of Emergency 17:59 PDT 48.738078 -122.486114

And if there are any others in Bellingham that haven't gone hot, let me know, and if possible, give me the exact locations and times.

If you guys really want these Axons hot, I'm gonna need this help!

Her ein the States, we have something similar that dials the last number to call a particular phone.

The keypad sequence is *69 - I've already added that tip to the Wiki Front Page.

Which reminds me, has anyone had any luck with *69 yet?

Axon Cities

39.1879 -77.7977 8:27 map acme 360 km SW of New York New York you_knew 2/2

This Axon is MUCH closer to DC than to NYC, seeing as how it's at the VA/WV border (right near the Appalachian trail) and not far from the Maryland border also. It's some ways NW of DC. Anyone tried it yet?

41.36138 -72.115912 12:29 map acme 172 km NE of New York New York say_something 2/2

This Axon is actually New London, CT, and is nowhere near the NY border... in fact, it's near the Rhode Island border. Anyone tried it yet? I'm kind of tempted to take the Ferry across the Long Island Sound to try it tomorrow, but I'll probably be too busy.

Can the people who update the location lists fix those two?
