I like Theorizer's theory. Perhaps Jan's memories were uploaded to create the AI Melissa. Notice how the letters line up:

The ISSA part is symbolic of the connection?

Perhaps Durga infiltrated Melissa (as evident in Phase 1) and during the crash, Janissary, Melissa, and Durga became split again into their respective personalities.

Janissary's memories give us the Sleeping Princess.
Melissa is the Queen.
Durga is the Flea, once again controlling the Queen.

that makes more sense than anything else.durga combining with jan's memories creates melissa, that is why we get the story bits from when durga isn't there, and the story bits from when jan isn't there, and we get the other bits because durga is listening in. (she is in the comp/she is intrigued by coming across jans info, doesn't stop looking into it, and starts monitoring emergency communications.

Okay - wild spec time. Most likely trout, but I've tried searching, and can't find anything.

We're assuming that Melissa is Durga, the AI that gets into the guy's computer. Now, assuming that's correct, let's go along that line of thought. We have memories of Jan, being arrested (it seems) and the conversation with her dad. Some are assuming that Durga was, or is, Jan. I don't know HOW, but... That's what I've been hearing. Now, I havn't heard anything about this idea here:

These are Melissa's memories. Melissa is in the computer, and she is asked for more information on Jan. Cut to - Jan in the police office, or what ever it is. Trying to piece this together, we could assume that the memories of Jan and her dad are simply Durga showing some stuff to the guy who's computer she got stuck in. Now, don't ask me where the rest comes into the puzzle, this is as far as I've figured out.

Trout me if this is already being discussed elsewhere, because I can't seem to find it. And I've already tried the search function.

I agree this is happening all at the same time and the power blip is what links them.

In fact, isn't it possible that whatever gymnastics Jan was doing at the base caused the power outage, and the power outage caused whatever cage they had around Durga to disappear, which led to Durga following her prime directive of "survive, evade, resist, escape" - escaping right into Jersey's system? (OT, I think it's funny that she assumes Jersey's computer is a ship - "what am I onboard? It feels small...")

no, if jans head has supressed memories in it, and she IS a s3, then maybe her brain paterns would be strong enough to halfway rewrite durga..... i'm saying if durga takes jans memories into itself, then that could CHANGE durga into melissa

The key here is the from before. This implies the AI's get created from something else. We all know Jan plays Truth or Dare!
