some of you guys have good theories and spec.... at this time, i'd like to urge you all to leave the "massive thread" and check out some of the questions and spec in the "general updates" section (but search before you flood us with trout!)
this thread is huge and disorganized, but nearly every idea has its own concise thread down there, i think we'd all get more out of this experience if you'd join us

well, im just saying what i think. i agree with alot, but i disagree with a little and im a bad guy? everybody seems to hate me for some reason just because i think that the order needs to be a little more open to other things happening instead of being front to back begining to end thats how it is, and because there is no proof that kahmal is the mystery guy or sophia is the mystery woman. i even said that i think they probably are, but when they didnt give any proof, and they are doing everything deliberately, and that voice actors often do more than one part, which explains both the similarities and differences, that i think we need to wait before we make decisions about who they are until we have solid proof.

why does that make everybody hate me? what did i say that was so wrong that nobody wants to consider what i say or agree with me?

i said i know all of that, and that i believe that thats how its going to be, all i said was that there is no proof of that, and that bungie or whoever is making this is doing it deliberately, so why would they deliberately leave out the names? i also just wasnt sure why the girl, if it was sophia, would let her mom set her up if she was dating somebody, even somebody her mom didnt know about, and then go if she was seeing somebody (that somebody being aiden).

all i am saying is that there is no proof of them being those people. i believe they are, but im not going to jump to that conclusion when its obvious they are deliberately trying to withhold who the people are.

it makes less sense for the files to be random strands of several stories, then just two ot three main threads

Because if they gave the names during that little skit, the individual files would contain too much information. In order to space the information out over several files, the coral link was made. Everything was done to deliberately pace our gathering of information.

its not deliberate, the files? the people just walked in, started talking, they recorded it, one take, all improve, no writing? no, i think everything about what is said and given to us is deliberate, look at how eleborate everything has been, and i didnt say that the files are random, i said that they are important and relate, like everybody else, but there isnt any indication as to how yet. yes, i think sophia is the mystery woman, but we havent been told that for certain yet, just like kahmal is the mystery guy. there are characters that overlap, giving relation to each other, mainly jan, and aiden, if he is the one who smuggled jan and james, but as they are military, it doesnt seem likely. we have alot of holes, and alot more to learn, and we are learning everything that we are deliberately how the PMs want us to, and in all of the 10 minutes or so of all of those conversations, with everybody talking to each other, there is no name given to anybody. its unusual, and deliberate, and thats all im saying. i think the woman is sophia and the man is kahmal, but im not saying thats how it is, im saying its possible that they arent, because we're deliberately not told who they are.

There are no words strong enough to properly emphasize how much I disagree with you. In this game, we know our knowledge is limited. That is how it's supposed to be. We are supposed to take the little knowledge we have and form links, tenuous as some may be, between them. The Coral link, on the other hand, is very strong. Kamal is being set up on a date by his mother on Coral. You next see him on a date set up by their mothers on Coral. Given that we know we have limited information, this sort of link is the strongest type we can be given. They think too highly of us to need to outright say "yes Kamal, I, Sophia, am sorry that my mother on Coral does not know that I am going out with the black market people-smuggler named Aiden who I suspect may be cheating on me."

 		Mystery Woman (Sophia) is apologizing to Kamal right off the bat for taking the date. All implications are that she felt she had to make and keep the date to keep her mother in the dark about Aiden.

We know that this is Kamal from the Message Saved file. She clearly calls him Kamal when leaving the message. Kamal had already told Hiro that his mom set him up with Sophia from coral.

Nothing hidden; all links establish, beyond any doubt, the identities of these charectors.

Now, the true ID of Aiden and Celine can be debated.

Bonita and Simon!!! DUM DUM DUUUUUMMMMMM

What you don't get is most of the information in arg's are never told to us, we have to pic up on common sense, So take it as it was truth, cause otherwise we'll never get nything done wif we question everything, and this is very meta thinking.
