I like Speculating Guests ideas that these are all things that Melissa is pulling up, and that "rewinding" sound could be the cue that she's pulling something up... so it may be the present or past...

just a thought.
Could be that the rewinding sound means she's going back to memories that happened before that one.

When does the Flood do brain hacking? They dissolve/absorb Keyes... but that isn't quite the same thing.

Remove the "transmit." from the address bar, or screw with the upper and lowercasing of the file name.

so

 		The thing with all the wav messages is that they are all DEFINITELY part of the same senario. You've got the Jan/arrested senario and the Kam/hacking/date scenario, but I can almost garuantee they fit together. The ones with the hacker are especially important...because an AI that seems VERY VERY VERY much like Melissa seems to have taken over that Hacker's computer and is acting somewhat hostile to him at the end of the clip...I forget the name of the clip, it ends with:

"Well, don't get too comfortable, cuz-"
"Don't!"

I did NOT write that! Somebody who responded to something I said did...and the same with that thing quoting me about not being able to open .wav's...I gave a SOLUTION to the .wav's.

..how do I get dragged into these things? LOL

Well, they can take control of a body of sufficient mass and cognitive level and in the books it is seen that they can access memories and delete them. I think thats what he means by brain hacking, like he says 'technically'

Its not remote and not applicable in the case we're thinking of now.
