 		I do not buy that the AI in the recordings is Melissa.

Melissa is a ships AI, no? The text on ILB implies that she still thinks that she is on the ship (RE: the crew references). The AI in the recordings does not fit this description.

I think that it is much more likely that this is Flea of Princess. Both have shown to be resilient self contained aggressive programs.

If the spider was patching together whatever it could find to rebuild Melissa if is possible that the Flea's or the Princesses data may have been incorporated into Melissa.

That is my feeling anyway.

 		Hey, I might be wrong, but most of the "non-hot" files were activated by at least one person (at least one person was there to pick up the phone), and these people must have heard what the message was and would generally remember what it said, right? And since there's a list of who went where, then we know who were at the "non-hot" ones and heard the message?

 		Character rundown...
As far as I can tell there are two seperate memories we've got here. We don't have any particular sound files that bridge the two yet.

Durga and Jersey
--------------------

  • Jersey Morelli - (speaks) - father is Jason Morelli, mother is Bonita. Might have a fixation on Jan James.
  • Durga - (speaks) - AI infecting Jersey's computer, sounds a lot like Melissa. Does not know who she is, and her programming prevents her from inquiring who she is. Named 'Durga' by Jersey.
  • Janesary (Jan) James - (speaks) - father is James James, gets caught on a military base and is interrigated by a security officer, is capable of beating a QPI (lie detector), and jumping from 3-story buildings without being harmed. Referred to by some security guards as 'Walkaway Girl'.
  • James (J-squared) James - (speaks) - father of Jan James. His identity is entirely fictional, a 'gray hole'. He's concerned about Jan drawing attention to them.
  • Security officers - (speak) - Several security officers, one inteviews Jan and lets on that he believes she can beath the QPI. Jan is known by them as 'Walkaway Girl' - because she seems to be able to just walk out of trouble?
  • Jason Morelli - (referred to) - Jersey's father. In Signal Corps, part of Naval Intelligence. Sets out signal buoys. Like Jazz and Swing. Sound familiar?
  • Bonila Morelli - (referred to) - Jersey's father, cheating on her husband with another man.


Notes:
Durga - she sounds a heck of a lot like Melissa. Is it possible that this is a 'version' of Melissa? Hoever, she doesn't know her own name. The name Jersey chooses for her 'Durga', is a Hindu Goddess of War and Destruction, also known as 'The Inaccessible' (this might be what he's referring to). Durga is usually depicted as a woman with ten arms.

Jason Morelli - his description fits with what we know of the Castaway. Is it possible these are the same person?

Jersey Morelli - Durga has intruded onto his personal computer. This sounds familiar to what has happenned to Margaret's system. Is it possible these two events are related?

From the technology implied, and the possible link to the Castaway and Jason Morelli, these events seem to be taking place in the future - likely on 'Halo time'.

Speculation:
Either this has happenned before, or is it possible that Melissa has fragmented not just in space, but in time?

 		Trout me if you must but there are definitely different lengths to the rewinding sounds at the beginning of each sequence. I would speculate that the longest is the oldest and vice versa. Regarding links not working, I have been forwarding myself emails with the links in the body and have never had one fail yet. Very Happy
