I was convinced out of my initial guess which was Bassanon.

The reason it was concensused to Bosseneau is thanks to the first people to axon the 'four_goats.wav'.

Perhaps, but just because they were first doesn't mean they got it right. Granted their help is invaluable, but listen to it very closely in Four Goats. Use headphones, it helps.

refute for concurrent act theory

I am disinclined to believe that the acts occur concurrently. I believe that the events in dizzy through durga precipitate the events in blip through emergency. It occurs to me that when Durga is prompted for information regarding Jan James, she is the entity that initiates the "massive power interrupt" at the military base which prompts the military personnell to identify Jan as a "bogey". Security personnell narrating the events at the base even mention that she would never have been detected had the power interrupt not occured. Thenceforth I propose that Durga is transmitting the event of Jan's infiltration, capture, interrogation, and release to the gentleman requesting information on Jan.
Furthermore, although the heritage of the word Jannisary has been expounded upon, I would like to mention that the Jannisaries were an elite unit consting of young men captured as boys during conflict. As such the Jannisaries were referred to as the "slave army" since none were native inhabitants of the land they protected. This is relevant in that the police interrogator seems to identify Jan's reference to the man who comes to claim her as "dad" as a lie. If indeed J^2 is not Jan's father, but instead she was co-opted into his unit at an early age, her name Jannisary would be consistent with her situation.

Reaching? Maybe. But I'm *very* convinced it isn't Bosseneau, which doesn't get a single hit on google, and the closest match doesn't seem very relevant.

But "Boisseneau" will get a lot. I'm not saying your wrong, since the firewall at my office makes listening to stuff online basically impossibly. It's just a thought I had when you were talking about French names.

Yeah, but nothing very relevant, I checked on that. And further, Boisseneau is pronounced a lot different. The french "eau" (plateau) sound is pronounced like "oh" (long O) and that is definitely not the sound he makes in Four Goats.

Like I said, best guess I have at this point is Basaran...anyone know Turkish?

True, just a thought. Since I haven't actually heard it yet, I couldn't tell, and you never know how people are going to pronounce something in French ... Very Happy

Turkish could be good though, what with the Janissary connection.

(Not to be too OT, but does "janissary" make anyone else think of half-cocked Jack Shaftoe, king of the vagabonds? Or does no one know what I'm talking about? If not, Trout )

so something we know:

Jan's father is not actually her real father, she spiked when she said "hi dad" also, the Jordan Morelli guy talks about "J squared" having his searched revealing nothing but lint... why is that important? *shrugs*

Obviously, we recognize the AI that is in his computer. SRRE and stuff this thing just keeps getting better and better.

Morelli's mom is cheating on his dad, but does his dad have any significance...

If this is halo related, why do they keep mentioning Navy, and not marines?

We're pretty sure Jersey's (not Jordan, fyi) father is "The Castaway" from the Operator's Monologue, who according to the Operator "laid bouys(sp?)", which is apparently what Jersey's father does, something with bouys. What the significance is to that remains to be seen.

There's been one direct Marine reference. At the beginning of walkaway_girl, Frank says "...Marine slang. Not just special forces, SPECIAL special forces." The MPs are talking about J^2, as the other guy says "I don't care if her dad was the fricken queen of Neptune..."

Of course, I want to know what this marine slang is. SPARTAN? Seems to much of a jump. Maybe we'll find out in pillow.

And there we have it. Pillow went live. Unfortunately it doesn't reveal much, they didn't give the name of the program Jan's father was in, they just set it up.

Though apparently she's very good looking, which further bolsters the notion that Jersey is a young kid that has a massive crush on Jan, which doesn't surprise me at all.

I serously doubt that Durga *caused* the alarm to go off at the marine base. It's tenuous at most to assume that she's showing video clips and/or live footage of Jan, but I seriously doubt she would directly interfere...that's too high profile, and all Jersey wanted was to see Jan, not get her in trouble.

So her dad was in the "SSF." And Dwain(sp?) (one of Jan's friends)'s dad is Frank, from blip-pillow-walkaway_girl. Jan talks about him in law_abiding.

SSF wasn't a program though, remember that's just the slang term for special special forces, that's *not* the actual name of the program he was in.
