The Navy actually plays a big part in the Halo stories. The SPARTAN/MJOLNIR project was done under the auspices of the ONI (United Nations Space Command Office of Naval Intelligence).

Just a reminder of possible connections, Durga told us that Jason Morelli's a corporal in the Signal Corps, attached to Naval Intelligence, Radio Beacon Deployment Program.

Shouldn't these links be stickied somewhere? At least till the wiki is back to full-force?

Also, don't forget that Marines are related to the Navy in present day, so there's no reason they wouldn't be in the Haloverse...

 		I may be brainstorming a bit here when I say this, but is it possible that Jan may be a daughter of a Spartan? Maybe James is a Spartan? Could James be Master Chief later in life?

Lots of J connections here: Master Chief = John 117; James James; Jan Janissary James;

Jan is 17 years old...

Could Melissa also be a copy of Cortana?

I hate to break it to ya dimsum, but I had that theory about MC about 12 pages back. It does sound convincing, and the voice actors for MC and James James sound very similar, but we have no direct links as of yet.

 		Sorry, but I don't think your "Jan is the daughter of a Spartan" theory is possible. The Spartans were kidnapped at the age of 6 and trained daily for their entire lives. I don't think reproduction or sex was on any of their minds.

spartan's spartan ain't fightin enough to make a "jan" Dunno

I do not disagree, but...
Validation of the suppresed has been posted elseware, but do yuo have any proof of the infertile?

 		I seriously think that all three stories happened at once. It's easier to believe and makes more sence that a computer shutoff/restart, alarm, and communications drop were all causes of a power blip... especially, all things considering, THE SAME ONE!

Maybe James and Jan are illegal immigrants via Aiden, and if she was arrested or the police started digging, they'd be deported.

The restaurant part seems the least important, which probably means its tie-in with the other two is going to be the hardest to find. It just seems too personal. The "Jersey and Durga" story is probably about the Operator, so it's obviously important; the "Jan Getting in Trouble" story ties into the Durga and Emergency stories really well, and the characters seem to have a more mysterious background, esp. James. The restaurant story just doesn't fit to me.

Assertions:
I am called the Operator.
I have crash landed.
I must determine the cause of the accident that brought me to this time.
I have undergone severe memory loss.
I must locate any surviving members of my crew.
I have built a primitive network using the tools available.
I must seek the truth.
I hear a jumble of voices in my head.


Conjecture:
The voices are in some way related to my accident.
Because of the damage, I am unable to accurately assess the nature of the voices.
By broadcasting the voices to my crew, they will be able to assess the damage.
Once assessed, the damage can be repaired.

The first thing I remember is her trying to kill me.



What this leads me to conclude is, the "voices" in her head are the wavs that we are "unlocking".

And

In dizzy.wav, jeannie attempts to kill/sting "durga".

The text says "i am the operator" and we know the operator is melissa so melissa is durga.


Also, there was a shipwreck, this is obvoius. The shipwreck is what is at the beginning of dizzy, the wreck has just happened and that's what's up. And, in the beginning of the file where the date is, they are knocked off the phone apparently, and there is a black out, all of this is from the "wreck". So that means that the clips do run at the same time


Also, all of the text that appears which is 'extra' to any of the pages, i have. It's in the attachment section hopefully (as long as it allows attachments)

Melissa is transmitting to us, because she thinks we're her crew. The password thing at the phones was to verify that we're "authorized personnel". Which means it's now up to us to give her "further instructions".

Any ideas how to send Melissa an instruction?
