Looks like "escape" has all 7 Axons connected however I haven't noticed anything special, yet...

about all this "help me" jazz in that one audio tape... who cares if it says help me or not? trying to pull words out of that rediculous blerb of and audio bite is as pointless as it its time wasting. so waht if it does say help me? thats nothing we don't already know i mean it's wanted help from the start. might just be me, but it really just seems like a pointless endevor.

and yet makes this game all the more cool, because if it really did say help me, it shows that a few extra minutes were taken in the MAKING of this game ^_^

Seemingly pointless endeavors can lead to solves, epiphanies, anything, really.

That's the beauty of these things. Countless people bring countless ideas to the table, and try all sorts of things. What's time wasting to one person may be a lot of fun or a challenge to another.

Pissing on someone's cornflakes doesn't really serve a useful purpose. Wink

Back to "Emergency"

re: Emergency.wav

Posting here because the 100 page thread has become unwieldy.
And I only mention it because of how it is presented at "thebruce" site.

I agree that thiis is a separate segment (long windup), but I contend that chronologically, it comes after "you_knew" and here's why.

1. Jan was interrogated at a police station. This is evident by the statement. "Dad, you're making the nice police officer nervous". Not MP, police officer.
2. James says "Don't worry honey. It's ok. I'll take care of it."

It doesn't matter that she beat the quiz, no one can have biological samples of Jan (hair, urine, etc) because of her DNA (most likely altered). The only way to ensure that the biological samples are destroyed beyond use is to burn them.

The coincidence is too great to assume otherwise.

Let the trouting begin.

I would strongly agree with that. To me, it was obvious.

[SPEC] Here's my chronology, feel free to poke holes in it, or slap it with Tuna or Trout or Carp-ay Diem (fish of the day, get it?).

Code:

Durga is delivered into Jersey's system, causing the disruption.
     |
     |
Durga kills Jeanie
     |
Durga "Wets the system" tapping chat protocol (CP) and also disrupting other systems.
     |           |                           |                         |
     |           |                           |                         |
     |          Kamahl                     Troy                 Military base.
     |
Jersey asks her to look up Jan,and she says:"I can do better than that"
     |
Jan at the cop station
     |
     |
     |
Then "emergency" much later.

This explains how we get the "date" conversations, and the "old man" conversations, and the intrusion scenario.

[Edit] didn't like the loose end, this ties better.

Am I the only person who thinks that emergency has a short windup sound, not a long one? It's only 1 second long, like the other short windups. The long windups are 2 seconds. I think the sirens in the background make it harder to tell the difference but I do believe that it's a short windup, and should therefore follow "durga".

Although this may be covered (its getting really hard to keep up) I believe that Jersey is Kamal and that the story arc for him is as follows

Bad Date

Jersey Durga

Kamal and Sophia

two reasons why I believe this.

1, I am pretty sure that Jersey and Kamal have the same voice. try playing Durga and Say_something back to back. when talking tech stuff he is serious and more confident and the voice is the same.

2. in a good story arc I can easily see a; geek on bad date cant impress women, geek gains powerful tech (Durga), Geek uses new found tech to impress a girl.

So after the bad date Durga lands on his computer, Durga is able to find things and when asked finds Kamals real name, Jersey, Kamal being a nickname. On Kamals next date with Sophia he really wants to impress her and is able to so by using Durga to spy on Aiden. He makes up alot of tech lines like " OK well, that's good, you've got some encryption. It's not completely pathetic." to sound like he knows what he's talking about. Later he uses Durga to dig up 30 hours worth of stuff on Aiden for Sophia something which he shouldn't be able to do but would be easy for Durga

Also I would put the Break-in/Jan/James story after the Kamal finds Durga. The Durga scene being used to introduce the characters of Jan her father.

Except that the common event that all sequences share is the disruption at the beginning.

I don't see enough people asking the right questions... we should be trying to help Melissa figure out the damage

[quote /Melissa said]The voices are in some way related to my accident.
Because of the damage, I am unable to accurately assess the nature of the voices.
By broadcasting the voices to my crew, they will be able to assess the damage.
Once assessed, the damage can be repaired.
[/quote]

So the wavs are the bits she hears, which she cannot recognize

[quote /Melissa wrote]Inbound:
The voices are of unknown origin
I will continue my analysis and attempt to influence the source.[/quote]

So we need to communicate with ther explaining A) the nature of the sources, nad B) How they are related to her wreck. Easire said than done, but as long as we work towards this goal we'll ge ther faster

The people who are answering the phone calls are the inbound voices. It is the outbound, or broadcast voices we have to help her to assess the nature of.
