Come on! What are you talking about? That was my favorite wave file! Where some guy says, "I'm giving you the nickname Durga..." and then she says "Durga?" and then he says "Yes. I'll explain later" and then they say a whole lot more stuff... I mean, that's practically a verbatim repetition! Razz

(I'm only giving you hell cuz I was such a nervous wreck at my location too... In fact, half the video I took was with the cap still on... I'm such a dork!) Cool

Well at least you remembered to video tape. I had my video camera and only used it to take two lousy stills. I was nervous too, but only because the newspaper reporter kept asking me questions like I was some sort of expert on ARGs just because I was from UF. He kept asking questions like "soooo, how do you think this game will end?" and "is this sort of thing typical for ARGs?" So I probably sounded like a big idiot trying to fumble through some sort of an answer.

I wonder how much of a lunatic I'm going to sound like - woman drives over an hour (with her baby) to answer a ringing payphone so that she can talk to a online game character. Waiiitt, maybe I am a lunatic.

Hahaha!

I'm the nerd that was, "Halo fan recently turned ARG enthusiast." I thought it was funny we were on the verge of getting kicked out because we were blocking the bathroom door for the 90 year olds. definitely worth the drive, hope we get to do it again sometime! (Though hopefully on a weekend!)

Here are some pictures I took, take note of my rusted hood and what is hanging in my window... espcially what is hanging in my window... I got some weird looks at intersections... I'll tell you that much! Laughing

I went to the 3 sites in and around Venice and Santa Monica, CA-- 9:32 PDT, 11:11 PDT, and 13:47 PDT.

The first site we got a phone call but the person answered didn't know what to say. I think we had about 9 people at the site.

The second site I visited at the pay phones across the street from the Santa Monica Place Mall. There were around 8 again players and two guys from G4TV, that chulo333 already mentioned, The phones didn't ring at the spots that we were at.

At the third site was at the pay phones in front of the City of Santa Monica Ocean Park branch library, that was built by the Carnegie Foundation in 1918.

chulo333 answered the phone and we connected and the axions got hot.

They interviewed players at this site also and in the interview I was wearing a black shirt with a badge that said I LOVE BEES with an image of a bee I took from the website.

G4TV is going to air it on Pulse on Friday.

My lord! To me you only look about 12! Should you really be driving something that big at that age?

Hahaha, nope I'm 18. When I wrote that I had just finished Calculus and World Literature work, so my brain was pretty much shot.

Those are some cool shots. Man I wish I could get to the two Massachusetts locations, but their located in Banrstable and I'm in Boston. That is not a short trip.

If I had a vehicle and people willing to join (not to mention the time) I would go down. Aren't there any gamers on the Cape? Sad

Why couldn't they put the locations in Boston somewhere, those things would get answered with the quickness. Cool

last aiden

I activated the last HI_AIDEN axon today (17:23) in Portland
I haven't met anyone else on the team in person, and I was the only person at the phone today. (everyone else is rockin on the recipe3)
it was nerve wracking! staring at the clock
and it finally rang (the phone, i mean, not the clock)
i kept blurting "OPERATOR" too early
