I think the answer is that it is the name of a player in a multi-player game. Most of the footage I've seen from H2 demos contain names like that, and even the default names in H1's multiplayer setup are of a similar vein.

Doesn't mean it's unconnected with the flea though - I just don't think it's likely.

My take on the flea (as other AGM'ers have no doubt already covered) is that the flea is trying to reveal the location of earth (the Truth) to the cove. forces.

Hi and welcome to active status!

I'd like to point to this post where the significance of those names is given; they were the mandated network names of players at the E3 multiplayer demonstration... the Elites were named Truth, Pity, Regret, and two others I can't recall. (Mercy? Dunno on that one.) The SPARTANs were all named after Marines in the first game.

Good catch, though. I didn't even think to look until I read that thread myself.

Very strange, it came up immediately for me. Make sure you're searching in the right forum - either leave it selected at unForum Index, or select "The Haunted Apiary (Let Op!)" without a sub-forum (so, not puzzles, general, etc). I've mis-clicked before.

I have actually played the Halo 2 demo...at the Bungie FanFest at E3. The names on there are basically "generic" names for the elites and the spartans. For instance, the covenant are EXTREMELY religious, so their generic names are things like Truth, Regret, etc. Meanwhile the Spartans have generic names like Johnson, Scully, and stuff like that. Don't read too far into it.
