I suppose it makes sense jor the Jersey story if Durga is Melissa.

I disagree. The Jersey story starts before Durga is in Jersey's system (see dizzy.wav). If you make the claim that Durga is Melissa and these are her memories, then you also have to make a much more rediculous claim that Melissa was spying on Jersey, THEN got transferred to his computer, THEN was able to maintain perfect continuity in the recording through her period of dizziness, disorientation, and fighting off two Navy sentinels chasing her.

I find that scenario unlikely. Either these aren't Melissa's memories or Melissa isn't Durga (or both).

we come in to Jersey's story with him trying to access some kind of computer program, but having issues. This could be because Durga/Melissa has just jumped into his computer causing some kind of glitch. You don't have to claim that she was spying on Jersey, she could have just wound up there and he started trying to re-access his computer. The first thing the original program says is that its online. then it says there's an intruder. it sounds like normal start up procedure for the program, like a virus check when you first start up your computer.

Perhaps we shouldn't consider the wav files to *really* be Melissa's memories. Sure, that's what the messages at ilovebees.com imply, but the wav files themselves don't support that.

Instead, I think what we're seeing is more like third-party omniscient narration, like most books. There's nobody telling the story, the story is just being told. There is no narrator, just the narration.

While there may be some merit in connecting the stories told by the wav files back to ilovebees.com and what we've learned from there, the new stories simply can't be Melissa's memories. The narrator is omnipresent and invisible, and there's absolutely no direct connection between these stories and Melissa.

(Okay, okay, Jason Morelli is probably the Castaway. But that doesn't explain why Melissa knew his son. And it doesn't explain Melissa's memories of the other two stories.)

Amen, brother. Or sister. Smile

*adding the joint-WAV transcripts to all the previous text*

It makes me wonder, however. WHY are we given yet another, narrative this time, piece of the "novel". I can't wait for some puzzles, requiring the knowledge of all those facts, correlated somehow... :]

I think the link between the Kamal and Jersey stories is the restaurant. Why yes, I am clinging tenuously to the fact that both storylines make a point of saying the restaurant in question serves tuna, but I can see Jersey asking Durga to spy on his cheating mother, and picking up on the communications between Sophia and Kamal by accident.

Has anyone sent the recombined files to Ladybee777 or to Dana just out of curiosity?

Apparently, some people from another thread did.
But, according to the site messages, it might be pointless, as it's up to Melissa to take action now... But we'll see.

I listened to the combined wav files again and every time I listen to them I am more and more convinced that the "Durga" conversations are a lead in to the "Jan" conversations. Consider:

Durga ends her .wav arc by saying "I can do better than that" when asked for pictures of Jan. The "Jan" arc of .wavs could be Durga's real-time observation of Jan as reported to Jersey.

I noticed, I brought it up a few times many pages back but people seem to keep dismissing it. The three things I've mentioned about it are:

A) The "fast and high" voice speaks like the green font person who talks on ILB, a "valley girl" kind of voice.

B) At first, I thought it was two girls, Jan and an accomplice, but then...

C) After listening to it enought imes, I realized that she was just being a smart ass and kind of mocking the cop, because he replies directly with an "mm hmm" like a "yeah, I get it, ur a smart ass" kind of tone in his voice.

I myself have decided it was C. Someone else mentioned it was an audio clip from another case that the officer plays back, but I don't think that's it at all.

is there any possibility that the one of the two voices for jen is an innermonologue? i personally think it's the smart-ass option but, i thought i'd throw this out there in case anyone hadn't thought of it.

It seems that Jan is trying to play down her intelligence by trying to sound more like what she thinks a teenage girl would/should sound like at that age. Kind of a defense mechanism in order to get out of being in trouble. The cop wasn't buying it, however.

I suspect this is the same behavior occurring in the green text... the entity is trying to play down its intelligence... or threat.

[SPEC]SP = Jeannie

OK, here's my thinking. SP is trapped (or rather was trapped) in a glass coffin. No idea why or how, but that's not important. Is it at all possible that SP could be Jersey's Personal Assistant Jeannie who get's "evaporated" by Durga (and who knows maybe she got evaporated into her glass coffin). I'm gonna e-mail the SP and call her Jeannie to see if she responds; if I get anything, I'll certainly report in.

This is the e-mail I sent, I tried to keep it somewhat childish, as the SP seems to be.

Subject: Hello

Hey you!

You mentioned in your latest story that you want to find out your name, and that's totally understandable, because like you say, Sleeping Princess isn't going to be workable forever.

So, I just thought I'd ask you if you were maybe ever called Jeannie? Y'know, does it ring any bells or anything? I have a theory, but it might be wrong, so I thought I'd check with you, to see if I'm on track. Or does the name Jersey ring a bell either? Let me know, and I might be able to fill you in a bit more on your history. There's loads of people working on this, and together we'll crack it!

I also want to thank you for the secret little pathways, we found two, and hope to find the other two today. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

take care of yourself, you're very important to the team

It's a stab in the dark but well, you never know!

Couldn't the glass coffin just be a stasis chamber like Master Chief was in at the beginning of Halo 1?
