[SPEC] Tying links.html axon wavs to hivekus.html axon wavs

Has anyone noticed that the piece of sound at the begining of creepy is the same piano music from the restraunt?

I reckon that order is either:

our hoodlums -> creepy

or

our hoodlums -> missing sound file -> creepy

If you listen to what Jersey says, he refers to eavesdropping on them right there. This would make more sense than him saying it after a long conversation with Durga.

It's therefore possible that we have to point out to Mellissa which sound files from each batch belong in others groups.

EDIT - I renamed the thread because I think this is a new line of spec regarding tying the two weeks of wavs together in a new way. I thought it might reflect better than previous title "Our_hoodlums comes before Creepy" - Please feel free to change the title if the new doesn't fit properly. - SG

Jolly good, independent thought is a plus.

Now, could you elaborate on why you disagree? unfounded comments help nobody!

THANK YOU.

There is A LOT of information and speculation on these boards. And there are A LOT of people reading everyone else's posts. Let's not waste their time -- let's keep our posts as clear and concise as possible.

I can see how that could work, but I would suspect that creepy came after 'much_lifting', because a) at meditape, the girl's voice has changed, b) there is a short wind-down sound at the end of much_lifting, and c) I can't hear music in our_hoodlums, I can only hear piano when the conversation turns to their mothers sulking (much_lifting).

However, creepy only has two sounds (of what could possibly be piano notes) before Jersey pulls out a plug to kill the sound. I don't think that you can 100% say that those notes came from the restaurant, especially when music appears a lot in Jersey's story.

I really, really want this to work, though, because I believe that it's one story which fits all the .wav files together perfectly - linked by the common theme of Jersey listening to all of them.

Of course independent thought is a plus.

Here is my reasoning: Linkage to other post on this forum

Summery: The released wav's and transcripts make it fairly clear that each of these pieces fit together, the conversation flows naturally. But only within each group.

It also contradicts the current belief regarding the long/short re/winding. Not to mention that our_hoodlums is part of the kahmal/hiro story not part of the Durga story, and the music in our_hoodlums is piano, the music in creepy that is being turned off is more jazz.

As I have said elsewhere, the Jersey/Durga story is the only story does not contain "short wind" and "short rewind" sounds, only the long. Me Kiwi also posted here his discovery that when you listen to the Jersey/Durga scenes, that the center of (audio) perspective follows Jersey around, not Durga.

Also, the point about the music is a non sequiter. Of course the music playing will be the same, it's the music that Jason Morelli gave to Jersey. Jersey plays it, and it has resulted in references back to his father each time. See jersey.wav.

I think that this is a subtle "writers trick" to insinuate the fathe in to the conversation. It has been SPEC'd elsewhere, and I cannot find the link presently, that Jason Morelli may be the Castaway.

I SPEC that we've not hear the end of the receipt act, and that there will be more to follow that more firmly ties the Apocalypso in to the events that precipitate these stories and the insinuation of Durga in to Jersey's personal hardware.

If you listen to awful_fast and creepy, they flow naturally, in my opinion. Plus, the beginning of awful_fast starts with "bees? yes. why? I don't know" ... and it ends with "so you don't want any more material on janissary james? no, I mean yea, I mean whatcha got?" ... creepy starts with "hang on, let me turn this off. You know I just had a creepy thought. A bee dies when it stings you." This fits with Durga's fixation on Bees. The music flows together, the transcript of the conversation flows together.

Add that the Jan James story appears to be about 1 week later, just as it has been 1 week later for us. I think the SPEC that these are self-contained acts and that the released groups are self-contained as well (i.e., Jan's story from the links.html is one complete temporal chain, and the clips from hivekuts.html is another complete temporal chain. Together they make a larger story, but they don't intermix.)

transcripts can be found here
