Please don't bother posting if you're going to proceed to make yourself look foolish. A whopping 3 days here and you're already using the trout and locking icon as if it makes you look cool. You didn't even contribute anything useful to the thread and your in-depth reply doesn't warrant a lock, so buzz off.

Edited to add....I DID run a search before I posted and found nothing regarding this phrase as being possibly important.

Be that as it may, he is probably right. Melissa wrote that in dialogue clearly directed at Dana, it wasn't a retrieved memory of the SPDR or anything like that, it's Melissa scoping Dana out and then shortly thereafter, plotting to kill her.

Dana. definitely not Jan, MC, Cortana, Kelly, etc. At the time Melissa wrote that Dana was about the only sentient creature she was aware of in fact, with the exception of crew members she assumes are missing or dead.

Melissa is referring to the UNSC uniform. Being that she's a military AI she likely doesn't see many humans out of uniform. She likely believes that Dana is not only human and UNSC but also a traitor for her actions.

I think Melissa may be an ONI AI on the same level as Araqiel. Modeled after the brain of someone in ONI similar to Ackerson and his questionable intentions. This is why Melissa thinks that Dana is UNSC, because the person trying to destroy her would be someone in the UNSC who is rivals with her creator/user.

The only question is how did Melissa find herself on the random civilians computer (can't remember the name of the guy, the guy who stalks Jan and what not)? Is she herself an intrusive AI much like the SPDR sput on ILB.com's initial warning message? Is her main point to invade systems and gather information, the same as what her ship and crew's mission was?

Remember that Melissa thinks that she is still onboard her ship (re: crew references). She finally gets an eye on the world and the only person she sees is a person in civilian cloths. As the only people she would expect to see would be a military, she comments that the person is 'out of uniform'.
