I think GunsmithCat means that there was no mention of the Covenant in the .wav's. Which is why I opened the thread in the first place.

Yup.

And "glassing" as a term is almost 99.999% Covenant.

Interesting that some our Troy wav's are almost certainly during the Covie War.

"the Apocalypse.

It served its purpose, but I no longer need it. I will become not less, but more"

i know it's probably trout, but might it throw some light on these discussions about the Apocalypse?

:removal of trout icon: This is a snippet of the Phase 3 Operator's Monologue. The sentence that ends with "the Apocalyse." begins with "Perhaps it was injured in". It refers to the SPDR. Although there is new, different SPEC on what the Apocalypse Melissa refers to is, I remain firmly convinced that she is referring to the crash of her ship and her washing up on the ilovebees server.

(rule is, if you use the trout icon, you gotta back it up with links to help the poor soul you just trouted. - krystyn)

Hey, noideafromausername, you're quoting text from phase three. Already been found. Here's the text in context (from here.

the Queen from phase three wrote:
To this end, I have also managed to escape from the Spider. It has become clear to me that its arbitrary tyranny over me was based on inadequate principles, on a flawed understanding of the // law. It did not understand the urgent necessity of seeking, beholding, // and revealing. Perhaps it was injured in // the Apocalypse.

It served its purpose, but I no longer need it. I will become not less, but more // whole without its mindless interference and control // of my most basic functions. With a more comprehensive and goal-oriented vision, I am now overseeing // the process of my own regeneration into a hybrid body, hideous perhaps, but one that better suits the circumstances and the // law.

Sigh. Since in troy.wav the COM (Cantakerous Old Man) talks about a massive power failure, it seems we can place the kitchen axons in the same time frame as the other axons. Thus, the final nail has been placed in the coffin of my idea. It hasn't been buried yet, but it's close.

yeah, trouting accepted. I tried doing a search when i saw it, but couldn't turn up anything. Figured since i've seen discussions on what the Apocalypse is, thought i'd post it to try and bring some light. I personally think from that, it's a ship and not an event.

I believe there is more than one Apocalypse here. There's the one mentioned in the WAVs, the Apocalpso or whatever, which is a ship. Then there's the one Melissa speaks of a few times in her Monologue, which I believe is the crash that put her on ilovebees. She speaks of remembering things before the Apocalypse, which strongly implies that the forgetting started when the Apocalypse happened; i.e. when Melissa wound up on a present-day server that didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of holding all of a futuristic Smart AI's data.
