We have gone a bit META here, but I think this can be answered easily with no technical knowledge needed.

This is an ARG(ish) that is supposedly (likely) being done by Bungie. Bungie is owned and bankrolled by??? Microsoft. If Microsoft is going to host a web site is it going to run Linux and Apache? Websphere? Use ColdFusion? No. It is going to be running Windows 2003, IIS and ASP.NET.

that's why Mellisa is turning evil!!!! the pious flea is actually the .net server! so the way that we save her is to transfer her to PHP as quickly as possible!
Twisted Evil

netcraft.com has some interesting things to say about the actual ILB site.

http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph/?host=ilovebees.com

Apparently, it was running on RedHat (Or Windows with a spoofed server ID?) and Apache (with PHP 4.0.4!) up until July 16. At that point, it was switched to a Windows 2003 machine running IIS 6.0. The machine itself is hosted at Rackspace.

but they would have had to recode the entire thing into asp
unless originally it was running on chilisoft, but i think that's just asp, not .net

Actually it is (per Netcraft's external attempt to determine information that is by thier own FAQs admition prone to error) hosted on Windows 2000 (Apachie != Linux). Oddly enough it then switched BACK to Windows 2000 and Apachie on the 17th. I suspect that this is an artifact of load balancing and caching. We have no evidence of the true internal nature of the setup.
That aside, did anything in ILB history happen on July 16th that would cuase a change?
