Now, there are some payphones listed for Buena Park here. Anybody else think it's hilarious that there are 3 payphones at 7111 Beach Blvd, Buena Park? I really reaaaaally hope that it's not one of those phones that is going to ring, because I'm going to be 6 blocks away from it in about an hour Mr. Green Dearest PMs, if the coordinate is an "oops" and it's supposed to point to 7111 instead of 7711, would you please kindly fix it within a half an hour or so? Very Happy

It hasn't changed... maybe the people there should split up (if there's enough time/people)?

are we even sure this is the day? I remember the 24th being a big day, but was the 27th mentioned?

I guess we're not sure of anything, but consider:

* We got the new coordinates today
* There's no countdown to a new date on the page
* They are marked up in the HTML as "TRANSMISSION_ACTIVE"

To me, that suggests that the times are valid today (and hopefully on subsequent days, too, like the other axons).

Q: Do we even want to get these axons hot right now? Reason being that as soon as we do, the Queen will know that we are working with the Sleeping Princess, which thing it appears she does not know now.

If it were me there, I would probably still work my hardest to get them hot. But still....

Also weren't the axions originally in a plan list and not in a table until the 24 when they went active?

If that's true we can assume all tabled points are transmitting.

Perhaps these axons are all for tomorrow. Why would they update in the middle of the day with just a few hours until the first one needs to be activated? It doesn't give people enough time to get ready.

Also, in the new 404 page, SP says that she knows we like things with "7" in them, so perhaps these are all to be activated tomorrow, the 28th. Now granted, yes, the 27th does have a "7" in it, but I think the 28th would be a more likely solution. If someone DOES activate an axon today, I will gladly eat crow, however. Wink

4 axons * 7 = 28 maybe?

Totally not true, and even if it was, they're working well and just not getting results. I was getting active reports, and they were quite smart about getting locations. They just don't have the manpower to cover a couple city blocks worth of phones at the same time. So, they'll try their best leads tomorrow and see what they get.

From a meta perspective, we were given three hours' notice (if you think the PM's knew we'd find the new axons right away, which they'd have to suspect). It sounds like three hours was enough time - we had people at the first Axon, there just seemed to be technical difficulties (either with finding the right phone or the phone not working, etc.).

But from an in-game perspective, we wouldn't be given any notice for a transmission that's not meant for us. Sorry to keep repeating myself, but:

So: once I knew there were little teeny secret paths, I snooped all around until I found a hidden passageway behind the kitchen where YOU could spy on them.

In other words, this is the Flea trying to use Melissa to help him contact his people. Melissa has no expectation that we'll answer. I mean, by all means, answer the dang phone if you go to one of these points and it rings, but also be aware of other possibilities. I'm not suggesting someone with an "I'm with Flea" t-shirt is going to show up at these points, but... keep an open mind.

The SP didn't make these axons, and the Queen and Flea don't know that "7" is a special number.

I just read my quote and realized that these "paths" are never said to be axons at all.
Since phones in the area don't ring, maybe the PM's took our idea for WI-FI hotspots????
