I was under the impression that the SP did make these axons. I must be reading this differently from everybody else:

And how many have YOU activated? There are 16 axons here and 5 close in Virginia. I've done 2 personally, and supervised 2 more. Chappy has done 2, and INCyr has done 4. We were all there when the phone didn't ring today. We have scoped out one more possibility for tomorrow. Kaziel did several. And on and on. We are missing what, 3 or 4 in downtown DC? One or two are definitely broken phones and the others have invisible phones as far as the several people who tried to find them can tell. Give me a freakin break.

They're presented in exactly the same way with exactly the same underlying HTML with exactly the same x/777 counter at the top. As I just suggested a few posts back, it's possible that we need to do something else at these places at these times, but we should focus on the obvious option first - trying other things is good as long as it doesn't prevent us from trying the one way that we know works - answer the phone that rings near the coordinates at the given time and then answer the questions as asked.

The hidden path behind the kitchen could very well refer to the recipe3 html page. Recipes are used in the ktichen. The page is hidden in that there is no longer an active link to recipe3. Hmm!

i wasn't saying not to answer the phones if they ring, I was basically suggesting that someone going to these locations might bring along a laptop.

I don't mean to be hypergrammatical (which should be obvious from my use of the pseudo-word "hypergrammatical"), but I think that the "them" that SP is referring to are the "little teeny secret paths". Here's why:

* I don't think that SP considered the original axons secret
* She does consider the original axons roads, she called them "the most extraordinary number of little roads" in a previous update
* She doesn't talk about building any roads herself
* The story that the SP's quote is taken from seems to be more recent (probably because it was given to us today and she says that the story took place "just now")

Does that seem reasonable?

 		Have to agree with extrasonic on this. I don't think the princess made these new or the original axons.

I think she has just figured out how to repurpose them like she has other areas of the site.

And to the DC people I was just making a joke. I understand how hard(or non existant) some of these points are. I apologize if I struck a nerve.

But SP has just finished telling us about how she's been spying on Melissa and the Flea, and then she says she's found a passageway where "YOU can spy on them." Why would she emphasize YOU if she didn't mean, "I spied on Melissa and the Flea, now you can as well"?

And doesn't spying on people (well, entities) make more sense than spying on a road?

I suppose this would all be moot if we could get the new axons actually activated. If none of these locations even work, there's gonna be a lot of pissiness going around.

 		Any chance that WE'RE supposed to be doing the calling from these locations? Probably not (caller ID?), but the SP did say 'YOU can spy on them', which to me means some additional proactivity.

 		Well, if we go 0/4 today, then either the transmissions didn't start today (which would be odd) or we're dealing with another transmission vector. I'd say that if we're 0/4 tomorrow (i.e. even after some more scouting time and, invariably, the larger number of people we'll have to work with since it'll be a Saturday) then we'll have to consider another approach.
