(assuming the SP is a spartan that is). but so many things don't tie together yet! suspense is killer.


You are correct that they are not "happy go lucky", but they are still humans with feelings. They mourn the loss of their teammates and even are sad about the loss of any human life. There is even a definite hint of romantic attraction between John "Master Chief" and the other Spartan Linda. This is from the books.

 		I wanted to separate this from my last post so it might get noticed better.

Does anyone remember for sure what Dr. Halsey's first name is? I think it is Janet, but I'll have to look at my Halo novels.
Dr. Halsey has been a template for many AI's. She even had her brain cloned. Cortana is an AI modeled after her brain patterns. So Melissa could also, and so could the Sleeping Princess.
AND, if they cloned her brain, maybe they cloned her body also, but did it better than a flash clone. Therefore, Janissary James could be a clone of Dr. Halsey. Does anyone else think this is a possibility?

Based on miracles.wav, I'll have to say Jan is between a normal human and a Spartan.

Thinking of the sleeping princess as an AI, I remembered one of the earlier texts where the crewman said they could tell what an AI was best suited for based on their favourite game.

So, i turned to the Sleeping Princess' messages to see if i could find what it might be.

She mentioned on the first error message page that she likes games where there is a winner.

Then I remembered from the Halo books that the idea of the spartans wanting to win no matter the cost recurred throughout the books repeatedly.

OK, so its far from concrete proof, and you already have to agree that jan is a spartan or something similar, but it might be worth considering.

Also, the idea that she started off as a person in cryogenic sleep rather than an AI originally might explain why she had to learn to speak (in this case, rather than learning English but learning how to speak whilst inside a computer, or something along those lines)

If nothing else though, perhaps a good question for the sleeping princess is whats her favourite game?


Actually, it was the Master Chief who always won. He's never lost a game, and never failed a mission. Its just his mantra, of sorts. The Spartans may have adopted it because of their superior combat abilities.

Seems like I'm getting too much information and it's getting jumbled in my head. I did find her correct name last night.

That's what I am thinking about Jan. She could be a clone though.

Location: Up and down, not side to side or back in time

 		ok, so my original idea lasted about three hours, which is when I got home and listened to the new .wav files. Kumal isn't tied into Jan yet, her dad is not dead, and there was a shooting, but it was just some lowlife. I'll listen to more tonight and try to revise my theory.

in the .wav file "good at my job" "awful fast" and "creepy"
durga says shes been thinking about bees lately...somehow, i dont think that was put in there for effect
i think durga chose i love bees because she had been recently thinking about bees

just a suggestion, infact, i have no idea what any of them mean
i think jan is maybe a spartan, or maybe her dad was a spartan/helljumper

Your speculation above has been discussed before - either use the Search tool (for example, durga + bees + melissa) or check out this other thread where it's talked about.
