[PUZZLE] Tomorrow's Talk Barcode

SPEC that it's a puzzle, but no proof. Ran bars through morse code, and got "seihiie". Eolirin suggested ROT, but nothing comes up that makes sense to me...

...last five digits 00022 - not a zipcode...first three "594" not an area code...
T
hanx to DocVego for the attached .gif

Trying straight substitution code for this way of writing the number:

5 9 4 12 9 4 0 0 0 22

if 1=a and zero is null, then it's E I D L I null null null V

if 0=a, then it's F J E M J A A A W

finally, three zeros could be Ws, making this a scrambled URL. so:

if 0=w, then it's B F A I F A W W W S

Thoughts?

Wait a second! Could it be I lived? Could the TT webmaster secretly be a DH survivor?

Very good SEPC Emer, and seems quite probable. Hmm.

How to ask?

Which might explain the secret message in the application autoreply.
We need to find out who wrote that email.

Are guys sure of the numbers in that barcode?

To me, those 9's look like 3's

Which makes it

5 3412 3400022

Too many 12345 for my liking. Maybe the barcode has no meaning?

Somebody who works in a retail store or something, print out that barcode and SCAN IT!

look at this picture of it http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/files/barcode_191.gif

they're definitely nines.

also, we've checked it with several UPC websites. it's not a valid code.

*shrug* Why not the null bits? They -are- all together.

Heck, this could just be a coincidence. The mind has a nasty habit of finding meaning where there is none.

This is what I was try to verbalize (quite poorly) over on the General/Updates page...Or at least something similar. Out of all the places in the world they could have placed it, it wound up at CMH, and of all the names they could have given it, why something that puns "Dr.Ed's House"?

I'd wager that "I lived" would have came from TT's previous webmaster. Maybe a line to HR would help ferret him/her out?

edited to add: Sent an email to HR (copy in interactions) and got the auto-reply. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow noon, I'll be giving a call.

Karmic, Kona has sent a similar email to Ron (the TT webmaster).

We encoded a message in it asking "RUSURVIVOR", and the email itself hints that we found a hidden message in the autoresponder on UH.

Wait a minute - aren't you missing an extra D in there? And if so, wouldn't that blow the "I LIVED" theory out of the water?
